And one of the most high-profile contestants on the show is none other than television’s favourite bahu, Dipika Kakar. Before Bigg Boss season 12, Dipika had participated on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and later on Nach Baliye 8 where she was proposed on national television by Shoaib Ibrahim. Shoaib and Dipika were pronounced husband and wife in a nikaah ceremony on February 22, 2018. And within 7 months of their marriage, Dipika decided to enter the Bigg Boss house for three months sans her hubby, and it is a long separation for the newly-weds.
Shoaib and Dipika shot a video requesting their fans and viewers for the support and love, as they will be apart from each other for the first time for such a long period. Shoaib shared the emtional video with Dipika and wrote, “Yes! @ms.dipika my world, is finally in the big boss house and now, the world will see the real her. Meri support system ko ab aap sabke support ki zaroorat hai, mere pyaar ko ab aap sabke pyaar ki zaroorat hai. Yes Dipi, you are a strong lady, I know there will be good times and there will be tough times too, but I know too, that you will sail well! When Bigg Boss host, Salman Khan introduced Dipika on the show, she was accompanied by her husband, Shoaib who came to bid goodbye to her. Dipika looked gorgeous in an off-white salwar kameez with golden embellishments on it, as she entered the house. As per Pinkvilla reports, Dipika has a unique way to keep her hubby close to her while inside the house. As per reports, a source had stated, "As this is Dipika's first separation with husband Shoaib Ibrahim post the wedding and in a long time, she has carried his t-shirts and jackets as a remembrance so that she can feel his presence while away for three months. She has been very emotional about this." This much-in-love couple is finding this separation difficult, Dipika was teary-eyed when the time came to bid adieu to her husband and family.
Earlier in an interview, the Sasural Simar Ka fame Dipika talked about 'mind game' in Bigg Boss and said that she is looking forward to sharing the house with people from all walks of life. She had remarked, “Bigg Boss is a mind game. I am not prepared for it. Actually, you can’t prepare yourself, once you get into it then you know how it is like. What I like about the show is that people from different backgrounds come together and there are moments of togetherness.”
Recalling that she was offered Bigg Boss last year as well, Dipika was quoted as saying, “It was not a planned move. I have never been calculative with my career. Last year, when I was offered the show I was not able to do it as marriage was on cards but this year I felt let me give it a thought. When everything worked out well, it was like let’s go and experience it.
