Popular singer-actor, Diljit Dosanjh has been hitting the headlines for some time now. While he impressed the audience with his cameo role in the film, Crew, his personal life also garnered a lot of limelight. Diljit has maintained that he wants to keep his family's identity hidden for privacy reasons, but his professional life is like an open book. However, recently, shocking details about his marital life have surfaced in the media, which has stirred the internet.
While Diljit Dosanjh has not reacted to the ongoing reports of his marriage, he recently shared his first social media post since it was claimed that he is a married man with a son. He shared a video on his Instagram handle to promote his upcoming film, Amar Singh Chamkila, which featured his interview with comedian, Anubhav Singh Bassi. Alongside the video, Diljit penned a cryptic caption, which can be read as:
“Kahaniyan badlengi par Chamkile ke geet humesha amar rahenge.”

In the video, Diljit Dosanjh opened up about playing the role of 'Chamkila' in the Imtiaz Ali directorial film. The singer revealed that he had never expected that he would get this chance in his life and added that it was always on his bucket list. He further thanked the late singer, Chamkila and mentioned that he owes a lot to the latter. In Diljit's words:
“See, I had no expectations. This is a huge thing, high expectations… Working with Imtiaz Ali Sir is a huge deal. I never dreamt of it. We all have a bucket list, right? Working with him wasn’t on my list because I never thought it could happen. So firstly, thanks to Chamkila. This is all thanks to him! We owe it all to him.”
Further in the video, Diljit Dosanjh talked about the golden opportunity of working with Imtiaz Ali and called it a big deal. Reflecting on the same, the singer-actor shared that he was always keen on working with Imtiaz and had told him that he was ready for any film with him. Diljit said:
“So when Sir called me, it was a big deal. I told Sir that I was already in a similar film (Jodi, 2023). But if he wanted to make one, I was keen to join. I was ready for any film with him. So, I think it’s all owed to Chamkila. Thanks to Sir and everyone else!”
Diljit Dosanjh has always maintained that he will not speak publicly about his family as he wishes to secure his good-boy persona. However, in an interaction with The Indian Express, the singer's friends shed light on his personal life. A source, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that the singer is married to an American-Indian woman and they are blessed with a son. Diljit's friend said:
“An intensely private person, little is known about his family but friends say his wife is an American-Indian and they have a son, and his parents live in Ludhiana.”

During the promotion of Good Newzz in 2019, in an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, Kiara Advani accidentally made a shocking revelation about Diljit Dosanjh's personal life. It so happened that during the quiz round, Faridoon asked Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh to name the body part which is missing in a newborn baby. While Bebo gave the right answer, Kiara mentioned that it was quite educational for her as she was the only one among them who was yet to embrace parenthood. She was quoted as saying:
"Very educational for me, since I am the only one who is here not having a child."
