He was only 31 when he died, and he had recently become a father of two with his longtime partner and wife, Erika Kirk. Amid the numerous controversies and discussions that followed the late leader’s passing, one that particularly grabbed attention was an affair buzz between Erika and U.S. Vice President JD Vance.

The firestorm was only beginning to die down when fresh new rumours surfaced on social media; this time, the buzz is rife that Charlie Kirk wrote Erika out of his will after knowing about the latter’s alleged affair. But just how much truth lies in the viral claim? Let’s find out.

Did Charlie Kirk really remove Erika Kirk from his will?

After months of gossip surrounding Erika Kirk’s alleged extramarital affair, a new rumour surfaced on social media in 2026. It all began with a TikTok video posted on January 30, 2026, in which someone says Charlie Kirk changed his will before his death, leaving nothing for Erika and assigning all of his earnings and property to his children. The poster also stated that Erika became “furious” upon hearing the news and that all the money, including profits from Turning Point USA merchandise, went to the couple’s children.

The video’s thumbnail shows Erika Kirk hugging Vice President JD Vance. As one would expect, the clip spread like wildfire and soon blew up on discussion platforms like Reddit and X (formerly Twitter).  Some netizens also noted that Charlie may have been aware of Erika’s alleged affair and so wrote her out of his will.

While the claim has generated a lot of buzz in the past few days, it appears to be false. If you look closely, the account that originally posted the claim belongs to 'Bulls Nose News', a satire news website. The page’s description also categorises it under “satire” and “parody”. Besides, no articles from verified news websites have mentioned anywhere about the will in question, nor is there any mention about problems in Charlie and Erika’s married life.

In all their public appearances and social media posts, Charlie and Erika Kirk remained close and were known to share a deeply romantic bond. Erika was the late conservative activist's confidante and aide in his political and entrepreneurial ventures. So, there is, in fact, zero truth in the viral claim.

Erika Kirk’s affair rumours with JD Vance

Erika Kirk and JD Vance’s friendship drew unexpected scrutiny shortly after Charlie Kirk’s death in late fall 2025. Erika, who had recently been widowed, was photographed embracing the U.S. vice president at a Turning Point USA event at the University of Mississippi. Speculation intensified when photos surfaced of JD Vance’s wife, Usha Vance, without her wedding ring around the same time JD and Erika were making headlines.

The fleeting moment became a topic of intense public scrutiny, with many on the internet saying Erika moved on too quickly after Charlie Kirk’s death, and people called out Vance for allegedly getting involved with Erika while being a married man and a father of three. However, during a November 2025 interview with Fox News, Erika clarified speculations about the controversial hug:

"There were cameras all over my husband when he was murdered… There have been cameras all over me analysing my every move, every smile, every tear. We deserve to have cameras in there. Why not be transparent? There’s nothing to hide."

In December 2025, JD Vance also clarified that he and Erika were not in a romantic relationship and told NBC News that his marriage was "as strong as it's ever been." In January 2026, the couple announced that they were expecting their fourth child in late July.
