Popular South Korean boyband, SF9 is one of the most loved dancing K-pop groups. Debuted in 2016, the band had nine members and was the first dancing boy group of FNC Entertainment. The band was a massive success from the very let go and, over time, had garnered much love and appreciation from fans worldwide. However, the recent development of the band has left their fans disheartened as their lead vocalist, Rowoon, decided to quit the band.
For the unversed K-pop band, SF9 consisted of nine members: Rowoon, Kang Chan-hee, Yoo Tae-yang, Dawon, Hwiyoung, Zuho, Kim In-Seong, Jae Yoon and Young Bin. The band will continue performing for their fans with eight members from here onwards.

SF9’s label, FNC Entertainment, announced on September 18, 2023, that their lead vocalist, Rowoon, has decided to quit the band and focus on his solo journey. The actor will be focused on his acting endeavours and will no longer promote SF9. However, all the other members of SF9 will continue to entertain their fans and perform well for them. FNC Entertainment further wrote:
“This is an announcement regarding SF9’s activities. SF9 debuted in 2016 and has been an artist for us for seven years. Their first contracts expired on September 18. SF9 plans to make another leap forward as artists as an eight member group, excluding Rowoon. The members have renewed their contracts with the company. Rowoon will focus on his acting and other personal activities. Rowoon will always remain the ninth member of SF9 and the rest of the members will support each other and do their best in their own ways so that they can show a good performance to the fans. Please give both SF9 and Rowoon lots of support and interest.”
Rowoon is currently gracing all our screens with his hit K-drama, Destined With You. The actor has also been part of numerous hit dramas like Extraordinary You, King’s Affection and more. The actor enjoys a massive fandom worldwide for his acting prowess. Rowoon debuted as a leading character actor only in 2019 and has never had to look back ever since.

Currently featuring in the drama, Destined With You, Rowoon has a net worth of USD 16 million, and he charges around USD 50,000 per episode. With the massive success each of Rowoon's dramas are getting, it is inevitable that his net worth will only increase over time.
