Apart from being an actress, Denise Richards has been the mother of three children, including Sami Sheen, Lola Rose Sheen, and Eloise Joni Richards.
Sami Sheen was born on March 9, 2004, to Richards and then-husband Charlie Sheen. Sami appeared on RHOBH with her mom, during which they had disagreements over dating rules. In 2022, Sami joined OnlyFans for body positivity. Richards publicly supported her and said she admired her daughter’s confidence. Richards later joined OnlyFans herself.
In 2025, Denise told PEOPLE she didn’t understand the platform at first but was upset by the backlash Sami faced. Sami enjoys music festivals like EDC and Coachella, and travels with Richards. On Sami’s 20th birthday in 2024, Richards called her a wise soul she was proud of.
Lola Rose Sheen was born on June 1, 2005. Richards filed for divorce while six months pregnant during Sheen’s relapse. She said co-parenting improved as he worked on sobriety. Richards credits her parents for teaching her about boundaries and recalled her father saying Lola would grow into a strong woman.
Like Sami, Lola loves music and horseback riding. In June 2024, she posted from a Zach Bryan concert. For Lola’s 19th birthday that month, Richards described her as an individual who was compassionate.
The youngest, Eloise Joni Richards, was adopted in May 2011. Richards said she always wanted a large family and chose to expand on her own after her divorce. Husband Aaron Phypers later decided to adopt Eloise. Richards has spoken about Eloise’s 2016 diagnosis of a chromosome 8 deletion, which caused developmental delays. Eloise didn’t sit up for a long time and didn’t walk until age 2 with therapy. In 2025, Richards said Eloise is observant and understands everything, though primarily nonverbal.
Eloise is close with her sisters. Sami told PEOPLE they are best friends who do makeup, shopping, and tennis together, and that Eloise helps care for Sami’s animals. In April 2024, Richards posted a cooking video where Eloise playfully teased her about talking too much. Richards has often said family is her priority, and watching her daughters grow has been her most important role.

Denise Richards recently spoke about her youngest daughter, Eloise, during a podcast appearance. In an episode of Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blonde Podcast on August 3, 2026, Denise became emotional as she discussed concerns about Eloise’s future.
Richards expressed that she believes Eloise has a special gift that puts her on a different level, and that Eloise would not have a typical childhood experience. She also admitted that she worries about what will happen to her daughter as she gets older and after Richards is no longer around. When Bunnie asked what the biggest lesson Eloise had taught her, Richards said her daughter helped her learn to find happiness in the smallest moments.
Richards explained that simple things bring Eloise a lot of joy, and that when her older sisters argue, Eloise reacts as if she thinks their behaviour is ridiculous. Xo commented on how aware Eloise seemed, and Richards agreed, noting that her daughter’s awareness feels like it’s on another level.
Richards added that Eloise has taught her to appreciate every moment. She described Eloise as straightforward and fully present, taking in everything around her. According to Richards, that perspective is what reminded her to slow down and appreciate life. She said that this is a lesson she feels has also influenced her other two daughters.
