Deeya Chopra Mehta and her husband, Ritchie Mehta had gotten blessed with their first child in April 2019. And on April 6, 2020, Deeya's family of three turned four with the arrival of their little angel. Deeya had shared her daughter's arrival news on Instagram with a post that could be read as "Evaan is delighted to announce the safe arrival of his darling sister Sophia Mehta on the 6th of April 2020 in New Delhi! Proud parents Deeya & Ritchie Mehta, Ecstatic grandparents, Manju & Ravi Chopra, Eileen & Neville Mehta. Overjoyed family – Roshni & Siddharth Kumar, Robin Mehta, Jaivir & Reyaan."
On May 20, 2020, Deeya took to her Instagram handle and shared the first picture of her little girl. In the picture, we can see her little angel, Sofia looking adorable in a little white dress with cute booties and a pink hairband. Alongside it, Deeya wrote a lovely note of delivering her baby amidst the nationwide lockdown, "Being in a global lockdown has taught us all to live with less. Also made us realise we need much lesser than we thought. I had my second baby during this time and it has been tough I won't lie- everything from clothes to essentials to toys was just not easily available. There's one thing being minimalistic but let's face it babies need a whole lot of stuff!"
Deeya had announced the news of embracing motherhood for the second time in December 2019. She had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a collage, and had written, "Take a minute and look around you.. all that you see is it your creation or someone else's plan? Do you really decide the path you take or is it all predestined? - For me this year has been like a tv show unfolding .. one episode at a time each taking a new crazy turn and I'm about to get to the final- Baby Mehta #2 due April 2020 my miracle child! Couldn't have gotten through the last few months without my insanely amazing husband and family and friends- you know who you are and you're about to go through all my baby madness one more time hahaha hahaha! Coming back to Deeya's magical love story, her husband, Ritchie had proposed to her in one of the most romantic ways. In a throwback interview with TellyChakkar.com, Deeya’s sister, Roshini Chopra had opened up on her love story and had shared, “Ritchie is from London and proposed Deeya in Delhi today (10 April) in the most romantic way. He arranged for more than 500 white roses for her and also made a scrapbook of their moments so far.
