Deepika Padukone's Ex-Bf, Ranbir Kapoor's Wife, Alia Reacts To Her Second Pregnancy Announcement

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are the most-loved couple, but they often get embroiled in controversy, especially due to their life choices. On April 19, 2026, Deepika and Ranveer announced their second pregnancy, which came as a shock for many. Deepika was busy restarting her work. Her name was also in controversy due to her demand for an eight-hour shift, which was justified as she had a baby girl.

After announcing her second pregnancy in the cutest way possible, it was her ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor's wife, Alia Bhatt, who showered her with love. She 'heart-ed' her post on Instagram. Apart from Alia, several other celebrities showered her with congratulatory wishes. Bhumi Pednekar, Smaantha Ruth Prabhu wished her the second-time mom-to-be. Parineeti Chopra also wrote, "Congratssssssss."

Talking about the pregnancy announcement, the family of three will be four, and Deepika made sure to celebrate the milestone in the most personalised way. She posted a rare photo of her baby girl, Dua, holding the actress' pregnancy test result. The pregnancy test result revealed two red lines, which means Deepika was pregnant with her second child. The second-time mom-to-be posted two evil eye removal emojis.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have had a history that the entire nation knows. She was head-over-heels in love with him and even got a tattoo of his initials on the nape of her neck. However, destiny had other plans, and they parted ways, leaving Deepika visibly emotional and in pain, which the breakup left. Then came her prince charming, Ranveer Singh, who admired everything about Deepika and treated her like a queen.

That's when Deepika let go of the past, and she moved on with her life and became friends with Ranbir. Now, as Deepika shared the first photos of her daughter, Dua, her ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor's wife, Alia Bhatt, made sure to shower love on it. Just like every friend, Alia hit the 'heart' button to send the little munchkin her love.

Deepika and Ranveer's love story brewed while shooting for their first film, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, in 2013. Following this, they got secretly engaged in 2015, and kept it a secret till their marriage in 2018. The duo had two ceremonies, Konkani and Sindhi wedding rituals, on November 14, 2018, in a grand ceremony in Lake Como, Italy. It was in September 2024 that the couple's family grew with the arrival of their daughter, whom they named Dua Padukone. 

It is worth mentioning that Deepika, who has grown up in a culturally rooted family with a sister, who is no less than a friend, knows the importance of having a sibling. Hence, her second baby's arrival announcement came as a surprise, but she always expressed that she wanted to have three children. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, she had said:

"If I were not an actor, I don’t know what I would have been doing. But hopefully with some children around. Three little kids, scuttling about. Hopefully, be working enough to take them to shoots. Have a happy family. And at the same time, still doing what I am doing."
