And her blessing is getting doubled as she announced her second pregnancy. The woman people made fun of for choosing '8-hour shift' is building her home, and she is immensely content with the way her life is unfolding with one blessing at a time.

On April 19, 2026, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their second pregnancy. The family of three are going to be four, and Deepika made sure to celebrate the milestone in the most personalised way. She shared a rare glimpse of her baby girl, Dua, holding the actress' pregnancy test result. The pregnancy test result revealed two red lines, which means Deepika was pregnant with her second child. The second-time mom-to-be posted two evil eye removal emojis. 

As soon as the post was shared, netizens flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages. One user wrote, "Congratulations Dp on behalf of crazen fam across the globe." When Deepika Padukone faced scrutiny for working eight-hours after birth of Dua

Deepika Padukone faced a lot of backlash and major fight with top industry people when she raised her voice and demanded eight hour shift. She was removed from the second instalment of the superhit film, Kalki. This incident occurred immediately after she exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film, Spirit, and reports claimed that she demanded fewer working hours and higher pay. According to a report by News18 Showsha, Deepika had already shot for twenty days for the sequel to Prabhas' starrer. However, a source close to the production team revealed that Deepika put across an unjust demand of a 25 per cent hike in her fees. She knew that her role was irreplaceable, due to the attention she garnered in the first instalment of Kalki 2898 AD. 

The insider revealed that things took an ugly turn with the way her management approached the pay negotiations. Deepika was aware of the sequel and how a strong performance role was tailored for her. The source even added that the schedule for her next shoot was also decided, keeping her comfort in mind, so there was no scope for a clash of dates.

Later, in an interview with ANI, Rani Mukerji opened up about the time when she made a comeback after the birth of her daughter, Adira. Rani shared that she had to shoot for the film, Hichki while taking care of her daughter, who was just 14 months old. She shared that she was still breastfeeding and would pump the milk in the morning and leave for the shoot.
