The couple starred in a number of films together, including Bachna Ae Haseeno, Tamasha, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which have been a seeming proof of the unmissable chemistry the duo reflect on the silver screen. Fast forward to now, both of them are happily settled in different stages of their life with their spouses. Nevertheless, there was a time when Deepika and Ranbir were head-over-heels in love with one another, and often revealed mushy anecdotes about their real-life romance. For the unversed, the duo broke up after claims of the actor having cheated on the diva.
Recently, taking to the discussion portal, Reddit, an internet user dropped an old interview of Deepika Padukone with filmmaker, Sajid Khan. This was the time when the diva was in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. In the video, Sajid can be heard asking Deepika to reveal the two things she cannot stand about Ranbir Kapoor. After contemplating for a bit, the actress remarked that she gets irritated with her beau’s tendency of being a perfectionist. However, when probed further to reveal the second thing she doesn’t like about Ranbir, Deepika took a while and blushed hard, and with a bright smile, she then remarked:
“That he loves me more than I love him.”

Previously, during an interview of Ranbir Kapoor for the promotions of his film, Wake Up Sid, Deepika Padukone made an appearance through a recorded video clip. Therein, the actress bared her heart out and made some candid remarks about the actor, who was then her boyfriend. Talking about Ranbir, Deepika stated that he was a pathetic boyfriend. Explaining the reason behind the same, the actress remarked how the former would never be chivalrous enough to offer his jacket to his girlfriend if she was feeling cold. She added:
“Ranbir as a boyfriend is pathetic. If there was a minus scale, he would top the minus scale. If you’re feeling cold, he’ll never give you his jacket. Instead, he will give you two hot water bottles and think you’ll suddenly feel warm."
Anecdotes about the ex-lovers, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone can be countlessly found in archives, as the two, back in the days, were quite serious about one another. For instance, in an old interview of the duo for a leading daily, the host asked them both to reveal the first kiss they encountered in their respective lives. While Ranbir slyly remarked that his first kiss happened in school, Deepika, on the other hand, simply pointed her finger at him to indicate her response.

Back in an interview with Simi Garewal, Ranbir Kapoor’s mother, Neetu Kapoor talked about her son’s broken relationship with Deepika Padukone. Citing the reason behind the same, she mentioned how there was something missing, which is why it broke off. She had mentioned:
“I don’t think he’s had many girlfriends. He’s had just one girlfriend and that’s Deepika. I think maybe there was something missing in their relationship. There was something not there. Maybe he was not himself and he needed to break off. Everybody has relationships and they move on. If their relationship was perfect, they wouldn’t have broken up. Ranbir was probably not himself in the relationship.”
