It still feels surreal to learn that in less than 10 days, one of Bollywood’s most stunning and famous couples, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh would be husband and wife to each other on November 14, 2018. After months of speculations, DeepVeer (as fans fondly call them), would tie the nuptial knot reportedly in Lake Como, Italy amidst the attendance of close friends and family. On October 21, 2018, Deepika and Ranveer confirmed their wedding with a small invite which could be read as, “With the blessings of our families, gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November, 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer”.

In every celeb wedding, we are always eager to know every intricate detail about the wedding preparations, from venues to guest list, from jewellery to honeymoon. And guess what? The latest reports are suggesting that Deepika Padukone has purchased her mangalsutra! Yes, according to Times Now Hindi Deepika’s mangalsutra has been finalised and as per sources it costs a whopping Rs 20 lakh owing to a solitaire in it. The report also claims that she has bought a chain for her would-be-husband, Ranveer, and that owing to her visit to the store located in Andheri, it was shut half-an-hour before the usual time.

We can’t wait now to catch the first glimpse of Deepika Padukone’s mangalsutra, right? DeepVeer’s wedding is definitely going to be a mesmerising show amidst the blue waters of Lake Como. However, the guests have been asked not to bring their cell phones inside the venue. A report earlier suggested, “The couple has apparently asked their guests not to get their cell phones to the wedding so as no photos or videos get leaked before they officially announce it”. It further added, “They have asked guests to not bring their cell phones to the ceremony. Considering the fact that it will be a destination wedding, there will be fewer people and all the arrangements will be in place. While the two, in all likelihood, will share pictures with their fans eventually, they hope this step will help them guard their privacy”.

Recently, talking to Rajdeep Sardesai of India Today, Deepika revealed, “I'm excited in the same way as I'm excited about signing my next film. Marriage is something that I've always looked forward to in my life, as would any other girl”.

She further added and told how she wants her marital life to be like, “I have seen my parents do it so well and so successfully and for me that’s the way I would like my married life to be as well.I think they have a beautiful relationship, the way they have managed their professional life and being together as a family and in every way they have set an amazing benchmark for me and my sister and I would love for it to be that way”.

DeepVeer’s wedding will take place twice, owing to their different cultures and origins. A media report recently claimed, “Since Deepika is a South Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practised by both communities. A South Indian wedding has been planned for November 14, complete with Kannadiga rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnise their relationship as per the customs of a North Indian wedding”.
