A few days back, Deepika and Ranveer announced that they are expecting their second baby. Yes, you read it right. Dua will soon become a big sister. Amid this, mom-to-be Deepika was spotted at her new house’s balcony along with her husband, Ranveer Singh.

According to reports, parents-to-be Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are planning to move into their new house in Bandra, Mumbai. Deepika was seen flaunting her fully grown baby bump from her new house’s balcony. Deepika, with her mommy glow, was seen wearing a loose white co-ord set, while Ranveer kept it casual by donning a red T-shirt and black track pants. The Dhurandhar star also sported a black cap and sunglasses. Deepika and Ranveer reportedly purchased this lavish property in 2022. The couple's sea-facing apartment in Bandra Bandstand costs approximately Rs. 119 crores.

On April 19, 2026, Deepika and Ranveer announced that they are expecting their second baby. The announcement was all things adorable as the parents-to-be gave a rare glimpse of their first baby, Dua, who was holding Deepika’s pregnancy test result. The pregnancy test result showed two red lines, which means that the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actress is pregnant for the second time. Deepika kept the caption simple by adding only two evils, hinting at no nazar at the moment.

Both Deepika and Ranveer Singh didn’t want to rush into naming their first child, a baby girl. The couple welcomed their first child on September 8, 2024. In an interview, Deepika shared that she and Ranveer spent the first few weeks with her, getting to know her well and experiencing their lives with her before deciding on a name. She thought of the name Dua and texted Ranveer, who was working on a film set at the time. Just like her, Ranveer also loved the name and responded to her with a yes. She was quoted as saying:
"It felt like a beautiful summary of what she means to us and why she means what she means to us."

Deepika Padukone found herself at the centre of a major controversy when she demanded an 8-hour shift. In an interview, Deepika shared that people in the industry have normalised overworking. She mentioned that burnout should never be mistaken for commitment. She stated that eight hours of work a day is enough for the human body and mind. Deepika was quoted as saying:

"We've normalised overworking. We mistake burnout for commitment. Eight hours of work a day is enough for the human body and mind. Only when you're healthy can you give your best. Bringing a burnt-out person back into the system helps no one. In my own office, we work eight hours a day, Monday to Friday. We have maternity and paternity policies. We should normalise bringing children to work."
Deepika Padukone mentioned that she was not asking for anything unfair, and people who have worked in the system enough will know the conditions in which they work. The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani star added that there have been many male actors who work in an 8-hour shift, but it never made headlines. She said:
"I don’t think what I am asking for is ridiculously unfair, and I think only someone who has worked in the system enough will know the conditions that we work in. And I am saying this, if I may say so myself, a top star, so you can only imagine what the working conditions must be like for everyone else, for the crew, for example. I am not the first one who has asked for something like this."
