Muzammil Ibrahim sat for an interview with Siddharth Kannan, where he spoke about his and Deepika's alleged relationship. According to the conversation, the model claimed that he had a two-year-long relationship with the actress.
When asked who proposed to whom, Muzammil said that it was the actress who proposed to him. In the viral clip, which dates back a long time, has been resurfacing on social media recently, and is being tagged as the model's 'fresh claims', which left people confused. However, whatever was said in the viral clip sparked a debate.
Muzammil was asked whether he had any regrets about breaking up with Deepika. He answered 'no' while adding that the break-up happened because he left her. Muzammil further claimed that he was a star back then, not Deepika Padukone, who has now turned a superstar. He also added that he feels happy whenever he sees her work and doing well in life.

The remarks instantly brought backlash for the model, which led him to come back with a clarification post. In a recent post, Muzammil wrote that the claims that are being tagged as recent are actually old ones. According to him, the clip was edited, and the context was cut out along with the respect with which he spoke. In the same note, Muzammil clarified that the video, which was shared on social media, was from a much longer conversation. Muzammil penned:
"The interview being discussed and wrongly headlined as 'fresh claims' was recorded over a year ago. What is currently being circulated are a few moments from a much longer conversation. The hesitation, the context, and the respect with which certain topics were discussed are often lost in the editing process and when excerpts are viewed in isolation."
In the same social media post, Muzammil mentioned that he has always been respectful towards the people from his past, and he continues to do the same. The model went on to add that he has built his name in the industry with hard work just like other people, and he wants that the attention remains to that portion of his life only. Muzammil also stated that he always stands with honesty, and he will continue to do the same.
