Though Deepika and Ranveer had kept their union in Italy private, their wedding receptions in India gave the paparazzi an opportunity to give the nation an inside sneak peek of the functions. But with the pictures came the trolls too. Ranveer’s sister, Ritika Bhavnani hosted a gothic-themed post-wedding party for DeepVeer at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on November 24, 2018. Our social media timelines flooded with the pictures and videos from the bash and the newly-weds looked… different! But in a good way!
Ranveer Singh gave everyone some modern-day Khilji feels in Manish Arora outfit that the designer shared on his Instagram with the caption, "When my friend and one of the best actors in India asks me to make clothes for his wedding party this is what is the result @ranveersingh my love congratulations it’s been crazy fun to dress you up yet again and it’s just the beginning ! Next should be burning man?"
On the other hand, Deepika channelled 'Frida Kahlo on acid' (in Ranveer’s words) by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and matched up to Ranveer’s level of fashion extravagance. Sabyasachi shared her outfit pictures and wrote, “@deepikapadukone head-to-toe in Sabyasachi for her post-wedding celebrations.” But Sabyasachi again got trolled for experimenting with Deepika’s look.
Some comments on his posts could be read as, “You had one job to make her look original and fresh! Fail on both - repeated a look we saw on your models with makeup and hair that was old fashioned and dowdy. And what was with the black band on the skirt!?”, “Only if there was more focus on reality and what suits someone, instead of the 'head-to-toe in sabyasachi' tagline in every other picture of celebrities, the outcome would have been much better. Disappointing”, “Kya ho gya hai Deepika ke taste ko... sabyasachi to pagal ho hi gya h .... flower garden lag rahi h not classy.” amongst others. Ranveer also thanked their guests and elatedly said, "Guys, we are really, really happy to all of you together here tonight. It's going to be an epic, epic night because there's so many of you. All our lovers and friends under one roof. The dance looks too empty to me. We are here to celebrate for the epic future to you and me."
Speaking about his ensemble, Ranveer went on to say, “I would also like to introduce you to my pussycat... she's going to be meeting eyes with you for the rest of the evening sitting on my right shoulder.” Ranveer’s designer, Manish too talked about the energy and charm that the actor adds to the outfit, and told IANS, “It's overwhelming to see his love for my designs; the garment is a special one which is reimagined from one of my outfits at Burning Man. The outfit has intricate embellishments and our signature pink fluoro and heart motifs. I can't wait to see him torching the dance floor in my outfit.” (Also Read: Deepika Padukone And Ranveer Singh Bangalore Reception, His Reply Is Epic When Paps Asked Solo Pics)
