October 21, 2018, which was supposed to be a lazy Sunday morning became a moment of rejoice for the nation. And only if you were living under the rocks, you would be unaware of the most-awaited wedding announcement of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Deepika and Ranveer are all set to enter the holy bond of matrimony far away from home in Italy on November 14-15, 2018. Sharing the wedding invite on their respective social media handles, Deepika and Ranveer informed, “With the blessings of our families, gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November, 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer”.
As per the reports, Deepika and Ranveer will leave for their wedding in Italy on November 10, 2018, and after dating of 6 years, DeepVeer will solemnise their relationship in less than a month now at Villa Del Balbianello. This villa overlooks Lake Como and as per the reports, Farah Khan, Aditya Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be attending the wedding. Deepika and Ranveer will have a sangeet ceremony and a post-wedding party. The soon-to-be bride and groom will tie the knot as per the South Indian and North Indian traditions.
For their friends from the industry, Deepika and Ranveer will host a reception ceremony in Mumbai and for some close friends and relatives, an intimate wedding reception will be held in Bangalore. Deepika’s family hails from Bangalore, so for the wedding reception there, the couple has booked the ballroom of The Leela Palace Hotel. The wedding reception in Bangalore will take place on November 21, 2018.
The pre-wedding festivities will kickstart with the sangeet ceremony, followed by a Kannadiga style wedding on November 14 and the North Indian one on November 15. As per the source, “Since Deepika is a South Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practised by both communities. A South Indian wedding has been planned for November 14, complete with Kannadiga rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnise their relationship as per the customs of a North Indian wedding.” Their North Indian wedding will be followed by a post-wedding party.
And for the grand Mumbai reception, Deepika and Ranveer will throw a star-studded bash at the Grand Hyatt. As per the reports, “The two will host a reception at Grand Hyatt on December 1. While many of DeepVeer fans took to social media to congratulate the couple on their wedding announcement, their fans from Dubai decided to congratulate the couple in a magnanimous and unique way. Soon after Deepika and Ranveer confirmed their wedding on social media, the famous Dubai Fountain lit up with Deepika's track, Dhoom Tana from her debut film, Om Shanti Om. Check out the video here:
Deepika and Ranveer’s Mumbai wedding reception is expected to have more than 3000 guests. As per a report in Miss Malini, “Both Ranveer and Deepika have been quite busy as the wedding dates are arriving. While Ranveer is working day and night to wrap up the schedule of his film, Simmba, Deepika, on the other hand, is paying attention to every minute wedding detail. While the couple has announced their wedding dates, the duo will be hosting a grand reception in Mumbai on the November 30th and the 1st.”
The report further claimed, “While on the 30th guests will be invited for a Bollywood party, the reception will take place on the 1st. Deepika and Ranveer will have a brief honeymoon post their wedding, courtesy their work commitments. According to a media house, “The couple will head for a brief honeymoon before Ranveer dives into the promotions of Simmba which opens on December 28.”
