One of the most talented and successful actors of his generation, Deepak Tijori has been loved for his skills in the same field. Although his popularity has been more so as a pivotal side character, nevertheless, he has performed some commendable roles in films like Aashiqui, Sadak, Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander, Vaastav among so many others. In his personal life, Deepak is married to fashion designer, Shivani Tijori and the duo is parents to their daughter, Samara.
Back in 2017-2018, Deepak Tijori was caught up in what can be said as a rather peculiar case of divorce from his wife, Shivani. To begin with, due to some irreconcilable differences that had cropped up in their marital life, the duo had decided to part ways and head for a divorce. But things turned ugly when Shivani kicked Deepak out from his own house on the grounds that he had apparently started living elsewhere with another girlfriend.

Interestingly, as the duo continued with their divorce proceedings and had to discuss the same primarily with a marriage counsellor, Deepak was shocked to learn that their marriage was never legal in the first place. According to a report back in the day, it was stated that Shivani had never divorced her ex-husband before tying the knot with Deepak. While Shivani and Deepak never spilt beans on such kind of revelation, it was the former’s sister, Kunika Sadanand who refuted all such claims. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kunika had mentioned:
“Can a person be married for 26 years and realize that their marriage is null and void? I am sure someone is doing this mischief, we are not bothered by such stories because the court will take an opinion based on whatever is there in front of them. Obviously, someone is putting the story in the press so that the court gets prejudice because they are in court for divorce and their alimony settlement has to be done."
In the same interview, Deepak Tijori’s sister-in-law, Kunika had also spoke at length about the rumours of the former getting kicked out from his own house and revealed that every bit of such news was false. Moreover, she had also revealed how Deepak was living partly with his new girlfriend as well as with his wife and daughter. She mentioned:
"He is there only, he lives there partly, he has a girlfriend also, so he lives with the girlfriend also. He comes and goes in the house. How can she throw him out, he is the father of her child? He has his own room there and if he is thrown out, you think he doesn't have the key?"

On the other hand, without accepting or rejecting the viral speculations of their marriage never being legal in the first place, Shivani on the contrary had reportedly quoted in a media portal about the need for deserving an alimony from her estranged husband so as to fulfil the needs of herself and their daughter. She had mentioned:
“I am a deserted wife. I cannot maintain my expenses. My husband is liable to do the needful for me and my daughter."
