For the unversed, the film, Aakhree Rasta was directed by K Bhagyraj, and it also featured actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Anupam Kher, alongside Jaya Prada and Dalip Tahil. As per the longstanding rumour, Dalip Tahil was asked to perform the rape scene with Jaya Prada, but he refused to do it initially. However, the producer threatened to ruin his career, so the actor agreed to do the scene after Jaya gave her consent. However, reportedly, Dalip lost his control and got carried away, and things took a turn when Jaya slapped him for his misconduct.

Dalip Tahil reveals he never shared the screen space with Jaya Prada

Now, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Dalip Tahil opened up about the rumours of Jaya Prada slapping him during an intimate shoot. Reacting to the reports, the actor mentioned that he was amused by the rumours because he never worked with Jaya in the first place. He further mentioned that he wants people to point out which film they are talking about and added:

“When I read those reports, I was quite surprised. I really respect Jaya Prada ji, and she is one of the most beautiful actors. But I was wondering what is this film. Yeh kaunsi picture thi? If someone can point out which film it is, I would know. From what I know, I don’t think I have shared any screen time with her. I haven’t done any film with her.”

Speaking along the same lines, Dalip Tahil shared that he always stood up for women and female actors on the set and that he is very proud of that. He even mentioned that while his directors would ask him to go with the flow while shooting an intimate scene, he would always ask if his co-stars were okay with this. He added:

“I have always believed in creating a respectful space. I have always been arrogantly against all of it and even threatened to leave a film rather than crossing the line.”
