Cristiano Ronaldo And Georgina Married In Their Living Room, Spoke About Wanting More Kids In Future

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are having the time of their lives after finally tying the knot on August 11, 2026. The news of their intimate civil ceremony in Portugal came 10 years after they began dating and built a family together. While it has been a few days since the wedding, the buzz surrounding it has not died down yet. Amid this, Georgina revealed her plans for a second, larger ceremony and whether she wishes to have more kids with the footballer.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Georgina Rodriguez opened up about her special day with Cristiano Ronaldo. She revealed that the date of their wedding, August 11, 2026, was a symbolic day for the couple as it marked the 10th anniversary of the day they met for the first time at the Gucci store in Madrid. 

While discussing the rumours that had emerged about a massive celebrity wedding guest list, which many thought might feature the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Rihanna, Georgina laughed at the thought and said, “It's incredible what you hear.” She said that they actually tied the knot in the living room of their new summer house in Cascais, Portugal. 

Some fans were quite shocked to hear that Ronaldo and Georgina, who share over 750 million Instagram followers between them, did not go for a larger wedding. Well, the model confirmed that she and the footballer do have plans to have a big wedding in the future so that they can celebrate with their family and friends. Speaking about why the couple kept things more intimate for the August 11, 2026, ceremony, Georgina explained: 

“When I was a little girl. I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home. Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate - that’s more unusual for us.”

During the interview, Georgina also opened up about why she and Ronaldo chose to get married in the living room of their house. According to her, that was where they have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where they “live the reality of our lives.” She added, “In 30 years’ time I want the children to think, something wonderful happened at this table - the wedding vows of our parents.” 

Speaking about children, when asked if she and Ronaldo would ever be willing to have more children, the footballer quipped in by saying, “I never say never.” Georgina also reflected similar sentiments while adding that while things would be a bit difficult now if they had another baby, they could always try when their youngest kids are 15 or 16. She confessed that she cannot imagine herself without small children. In her words:

“Another baby now would be overbooking at home. But when the youngest are 15 or 16 we’ll still be young, so why not? It’s true that I can’t imagine myself without small children, so we’ll see.”

As per reports, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez got married in front of their five children and just four witnesses. The witnesses include Miguel Paixao, Ivana Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez Sangil, and Monica Gonzalez Martinez. 

Interestingly, Ronaldo’s mom, Dolores Aveiro, and his three siblings, Hugo, Elma, and Katia, were not present during the wedding. However, after Ronaldo posted a picture of the couple’s wedding rings, Dolores soon showed her support by responding with a heart emoji.
