It all dates back to November 2024, when production began on Maude Apatow's directorial debut, Poetic License, which stars both Nico Parker and Cooper Hoffman alongside Andrew Barth Feldman, Maisy Stella, Apatow's mom, Leslie Mann, and Jon Bon Jovi's son, Jake Bongiovi. Following the filming of the show, fans were quick to notice the sweet comments Parker made about Hoffman.
Fans first noticed the adorable references when, during an interview with The Sunday Times, Nico oh-so-casually mentions that she’s “dating” someone, who she “bashfully” refers to as “sweet.” It was a few days later that the actress added a picture of her and Hoffman to her Instagram highlights. Cut to September 2025, when Poetic License was released at the Toronto International Film Festival.
