Miley and Cody’s relationship reports started with a video shared by TMZ. The clip featured the duo kissing in a restaurant. The pair was reportedly speaking to each other in the beginning, and a few moments later, Miley sat on Cody’s lap. The former couple also got a drink and sushi for themselves at the place.

Miley was hospitalised for her tonsillitis in October 2019, and after she was released, Cody expressed his happiness in an Instagram Story, saying that Cyrus was back home. In October 2019, Cody eventually confirmed in an interview with PEOPLE that he and Miley are in a relationship. Simpson praised Miley’s creativity and passion for her work. He even referred to why the relationship was not so unexpected as people assumed, and continued:

“The reason why it hasn’t been a really crazy sudden thing is just because we’ve been friends for so long…. [We] found each other again in a space where we’re both not partying, working real hard, and it just keeps things healthy and it’s good.”

“For right now, two halves can’t make a whole and we’re individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we wanna be. Like everybody else at this age, we’re just deciding who we wanna be with our lives, what we wanna do with our lives. And so don’t make it some drama story if next week we’re out hanging out or getting pizza. We’ve been friends for 10 years and we’re gonna continue to be friends. Just don’t make it something that it is not. And with that being said, I’m done with the bulls***.”
