Chuck Norris And Dianne Holechek's Love Story, From Teen Sweethearts To Parents Of Two Children

Chuck Norris has recently passed away at the age of 86. The news was confirmed by his family members through a statement shared through the actor’s official Instagram handle on March 20, 2026 (ET). With a black-and-white photo of Chuck, the family wrote that they would like to maintain privacy in terms of the circumstances leading to the martial artist’s death. However, the family thanked Chuck’s fans for their support, following his hospitalization on March 18, 2026 (ET).

Chuck Norris was well-known for the roles that he portrayed on screen over the years. He was mostly famous for playing 'Sergeant Ranger Cordell Walker' in Walker, Texas Ranger. He even served as an executive producer of a few episodes in the series and contributed to the storyline of six episodes. Norris also voiced himself in the animated series, Karate Kommandos, in 1986. Chuck was even featured in films like Silent Rage, Forced Vengeance, Firewalker, The Hitman, and more. Chuck Norris and Dianne Holechek started dating at a very young age

Chuck Norris and Dianne Holechek’s love story dates back to the ‘50s when they were students at North High School in Torrance, California. Back in 1985, Chuck also recalled the relationship by saying that when he and Dianne started dating, he was 15 years old and Holechek was 16. Chuck also got a tattoo on his arm, featuring Dianne’s name. They tied the knot in 1958 when Norris was 18. Although the marriage ended at one point, it created headlines on certain occasions due to Chuck’s alleged affair with a woman named Johanna. 

Chuck was also the author of a book titled Against All Odds: My Story. Notably, he claimed in the book that he cheated on his first wife. Norris was serving in the US Air Force when the alleged affair started, and he was stationed in California. While Chuck never opened up on whether he disclosed the affair directly to Dianne, he claimed that he never told Johanna about his marriage to Holecheck. Chuck had a daughter named Dina Morris from the alleged affair, and the latter was 26 when she started claiming her connection to the late actor.

Dianne Holechek accompanied Chuck Norris for his work on various occasions. The latter even mentioned in his interview in 1985 that Dianne’s support towards him was the reason that the marriage lasted for a long time. Chuck said in the conversation that Dianne traveled with him to the locations where he had to work on his projects, and she was available for most of the time. Although Chuck’s alleged affair was believed to be the reason for his split from Dianne, the actor never confirmed the claims. The duo’s divorce was finalized in 1989, and they shared a close friendship after the separation. Chuck once mentioned the same thing in a Facebook post and added:

“Even as our lives took different directions, we continued to care deeply for one another, and I will forever cherish the memories we built together.”

Chuck Norris and Dianne Holechek had two children

Four years after their marriage, Chuck Norris and Dianne Holechek had a son named Mike in 1962. Mike is also an actor and has been a part of many films. He even shared the screen with his father in Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, released in 2005. Mike even played the main role in a few more movies, including Born American, Delta Force 3: The Killing Game, Death Ring, The Beverly Hillbillies, Bells of Innocence, The Rage Within, and more.

In 1965, Chuck and Dianne welcomed another child named Eric Norris. Eric has pursued a career in car racing and acting at the same time. He has participated in many racing competitions over the years while working for NASCAR teams like Green Light Racing and MacDonald Motorsports. Chuck Norris even appeared in some films, such as The Delta Force, Invaders from Mars, Universal Soldier, and more.
