Kris Jenner Opens Up About Kim Kardashian And Kanye West's Divorce, Says 'It's Gonna Be Hard'

Fashion goddess and businesswoman, Kim Kardashian and her estranged husband, rapper, Kanye West's divorce was indeed a shock. Kim and Kanye were the IT couple, who had broken the internet now and then with their appearances. However, the couple has parted ways, and it seems their divorce is going to be as costly as their wedding. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had begun dating in 2012. The American rapper had proposed to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, using the giant screen at the empty waterfront ballpark of the San Francisco Giants. After welcoming their first child, North "Nori" West in June 2013, Kim and Kanye had exchanged wedding vows on May 24, 2014, in a ceremony at a Renaissance fortress in Florence, Italy.

In the recent episode of The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia, Kris Jenner spoke about Kim and Kanye's divorce. She said, "Well, I think it’s always going to be hard anytime…there’s a lot of kids, and Kim and Kanye. The good thing about our family is, you know, we’re there for each and we’re supportive, and we love each other very, very much. So all I want is for those two kids to be happy. And I want the kids [North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 1,] to be happy, so that’s the goal.”

Stressing on the much-needed privacy over the whole situation, Kris Jenner continued, "I think we all want that for our families, just to be able to have — the love and appreciation of one another…and that everyone’s OK. But I think it’s just a private time – Kim wanted to deal with this with her own family in her own time, so when she feels like it I’m sure she’ll say what she needs to say."

Fans are much eager to know what went wrong in Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's close to seven years of marriage. According to the documents obtained by, 'irreconcilable differences' were cited as the reason behind their separation in the divorce papers. As per the reports, Kim had filed for the divorce and Kanye is mentioned as the respondent. The divorce papers also revealed that Kim has applied for their four children's physical custody and requested that both her and Kanye's ability to award spousal support to be terminated.

Earlier, it was reported that the trouble in Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s married life had apparently begun when he made a controversial statement that slavery was a choice. The US Weekly had quoted a source as saying, "The turning point in Kim and Kanye's marriage was when he said that slavery was a choice." The source had continued, "They went through a really rough patch in the aftermath of that. Kim was completely mortified by Kanye's ridiculous and outrageous comments." And things finally took its worst turn when Kayne started sharing personal details in the media. The source had added, "But when Kanye told the world that he and Kim had discussed aborting North (in July 2020), it was the breaking point in their marriage."
