Late actor, Chiranjeevi Sarja's wife, Meghana Raj, has been raising her son, Raayan Raj Sarja, as a single parent for the past six years. Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away back in 2020 at the age of 39 due to a massive cardiac arrest. Back then, Meghana was five months pregnant when she lost her husband. For the past couple of years, Meghana has been very upfront about the challenges she has faced since the demise of her husband, Chiranjeevi Sarja, six years ago. Recently, Meghana opened up about her current thoughts on remarrying for the second time.

Late actor, Chiranjeevi Sarja's wife, Meghana Raj recently sat down for an interview with the Rayanemithun show and spoke about how she has been facing a lot of emotional and societal pressures as a single mother. She did not reveal it directly, but indirectly indicated that for her to take on both the roles of mother and father to her son, Raayan, is very challenging. This is because when the family setup is traditional, there is a lot of additional pressure. Meghana recalled that being a single mother was difficult, even though she had earlier thought she could fit into the role. In her words:

"There are so many expectations, especially with a son. You feel a man should be in the house."

Ever since Meghana lost her husband, Chiranjeevi Sarja, back in 2020, when she was pregnant, she has been managing motherhood and her career. Meghana's husband, Chiranjeevi Sarja, was known for his work in Kannada movies, and the actor, at 39, had left behind his pregnant wife and also his unborn child. Meghana further revealed in the interview what her cousin had told her and mentioned:

"I had declared I could be his father too, but reality taught me I can't do it every day. You are a mother, be a good one. Don't try to fill his father's shoes."

Meghana Raj also shared that her father, veteran actor, Sundar Raj had also revealed that the final decision of whether Meghana wants to get married or not lies with her. Meghana's father said that it is important to live as an example to society, but Meghana has the right to choose a good life for herself. Meghana Raj, earlier in an interview with The Times of India, had remembered Chiranjeevi Sarja. She said of realising that motherhood is the most wonderful and toughest job on earth. People have rightly said that one does not understand the worth of a mother's love and sacrifices until one experiences it.

Meghana Raj, in an interview with The Times of India, revealed that her husband, Chiranjeevi Sarja, used to tell her that he was like a phoenix, and she sees the same in her son, Rayaan. Meghana revealed that everyone who saw her son said he is a photocopy of Chiru, which she agrees with. Speaking of how her late husband, Chiranjeevi Sarja, always celebrated life, she wants Rayaan to do the same. In her words:

"I want him to be just like Chiru, who was celebrated by fans for the person that he was. I will work towards imbibing those qualities in him. I will be the best mother to my son’ I am going to give my son my everything. He is my biggest source of strength. I see happiness when I look at his face. He motivates me to be the best parent for him. When it comes to taking on the dual roles as a single parent, I don't know whether I will be a good father to him, but I will be the best mother to him."
