Charu Asopa is a popular name in the entertainment industry, who won several hearts with her stint in hit daily soap operas, including Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Karn Sangini, Mere Angne Mein, Kaisa Yeh Rishta Anjaana among others. However, apart from her professional success, there was a time when the actress grabbed a lot of limelight due to her troubled personal life. For the unversed, Charu was previously married to Sushmita Sen’s brother, Rajeev Sen and the duo is parents to their daughter, Ziana. However, after quite a long period of public spats and counter-allegations, the duo parted their ways amicably through divorce on June 8, 2023.
In a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Charu Asopa opened up about her life and work presently. The actress, who has struck the most beautiful balance between her professional commitment as an actress and being a doting mother to her daughter, Ziana in her personal life, shared how she deals with the pangs of mom’s guilt. She remarked how she, at times, isn’t able to spend much time with her baby girl, as a result of which she overcompensates her time sometime later. In her words:
“A mother's guilt is always there and not just for me guess it is with everyone. A working mother always feels that she didn't manage enough time for their kids; the same goes for me. But, I also consciously make it a point to be there for my little one right after shoot or in between shoots, at times. Every free time of mine is with her so as much as the guilt is there I also know am always there for her and she knows about the same; The feeling of security she has when she sees me, what I see in her eyes, is my biggest reward."

Moving forward in the conversation, Charu talked about balancing all her commitments in her life. She remarked that she has been juggling at work, and has been going through a very hectic time. Moreover, Charu added that whatever time she gets free, she intends to spend it with her daughter, who has been, be it by travelling with her or simply enjoying Ziana taking her first steps. She mentioned:
“Been busy with my shoot and the little one. It's been hectic because I have not managed to do anything or be anywhere besides work and Ziana. She has also begun school so she gets to mingle with a lot of friends and make new ones.”
In the concluding segment of the interaction, Charu revealed that her baby girl has grown up a bit and has joined the school. The doting mommy remarked that her daughter enjoys spending time at the school, where she has made new friends and learnt a lot of new things. Narrating the experience of witnessing Ziana take her first steps towards school, Charu said:
“She has begun school and that keeps her busy she enjoys her time there; makes new friends, and meets new people. It's such a pleasure. As a mother, to witness her take her first steps to now entering school, feels nothing less of surreal. I feel blessed."

Earlier, in an interaction with the Hindustan Times, Charu Asopa remarked how she has chosen to maintain a cordial equation with not just her ex-husband, Rajeev Sen, but also her former in-laws. Citing the reason for the same, the diva shared that she wishes to keep everything simple for her daughter, who is too young to understand the complexity of the situations. Moreover, as a doting mommy, Charu said that her daughter, Ziana must have comfortable relations with everyone from her father’s side of the family, once she grows up.
