Bunnie Xo revealed her divorce from Jelly Roll took an extreme toll on her
Bunnie Xo is not just nurturing a broken heart after her split from Jelly Roll but is also dealing with an extreme physical toll. In a recent episode of Jenna Bush Hager's Open Book podcast, Bunnie Xo revealed how the initial weeks after her divorce from Jelly were the most difficult period for her. Stating that she lost a lot of weight, Bunnie said:
“There were moments when my team had to pick me up off the floor and give me IVs. I was eating baby food to get by. I lost 20 pounds. Heartbreak, man, it’s the best freaking diet.”
In the same interaction, Bunnie Xo also shared that if she continued to move ahead after her divorce from Jelly Roll, it didn’t mean she wasn’t hurt. Bunnie also pointed out how divorce is the worst thing one could go through as it breaks families. Revealing how she never wanted to be a poster child for divorce, Bunnie continued:
“When life hands you lemons, make freaking lemonade. Yeah, it hurt. And I talked about it, and I let viewers in, and I let them know on my podcast. I said what I needed to say. I made a shitload off of it. And I also don’t want to be the freaking poster child for divorce. There’s nothing hot about that. It’s a very devastating situation that anybody ever has to go through. Families get broken up. Hearts get broken. So it’s time to move on.”

When news of the split first broke, reports suggested that Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo had mutually agreed to end their marriage. However, Bunnie later revealed that's not entirely true. In an episode of Dumb Blonde, the host admitted that Jelly's decision to file for a divorce stemmed from an impulsive moment during their argument. She was allegedly the one who told Jelly to 'file the f---ing divorce papers'. The podcaster recalled:
"I just looked at him and I said, ‘Well, file the f---ing divorce papers. And in our relationship, that is the one cardinal thing that you don't say, even though my husband has said it numerous times…. But when I say it, it really holds weight... He was so mad and we were so emotional that he ended up doing exactly what I told him to do and filing the divorce papers."
In her podcast, Bunnie reflected on the impulsive moment and said the comment stemmed from frustration rather than a genuine desire to end the marriage. According to her, she never expected her husband to actually go through with it.
