Brooklyn Beckham Skips Wishing Mom, Victoria On Birthday Amid Ongoing Family Conflict

The Beckham family conflict has no ending in sight because, after multiple allegations and counter-allegations, Brooklyn has completely separated himself from his parents. In the same bid, Brooklyn decided not to publicly wish his mother, Victoria Beckham, on her birthday, and the move did not go unnoticed. Notably, the snub came just a day after Victoria spoke about her strained relationship with Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola. Once again, it has brought the spotlight on what seems to be a deepening family rift. 

Brooklyn Beckham skips wishing his mother, Victoria Beckham, on her 52nd Birthday 

Victoria Beckham celebrated her 52nd Birthday on April 17, 2026. While social media was filled with wishes from her fans and family, Brooklyn decided to stay quiet. The 27-year-old did not share any tribute message on social media. It was a departure from their usual family tradition, in which everyone in the Beckham family shares a birthday for another member. Instead, he had last shared a cooking video unrelated to his family's personal celebrations. 

On the other hand, Brooklyn's siblings made sure to mark the special day. Cruz Beckham shared throwback photos of his mother and called her an "inspiration" while Romeo penned a loving message to wish Victoria on her "best day". Even the youngest sibling, Harper Beckham, called Victoria the "best mum ever". Meanwhile, David Beckham shared a warm tribute with their throwback picture to praise his wife's role as a partner, mother and friend, putting up a united front as a family. 

Victoria Beckham broke her silence on the Beckham family conflict 

After months of silence, Victoria Beckham recently spoke about the conflict in her family during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. Although she did not directly name Brooklyn, she emphasised that she and David have always tried to be the "best parents" and have made every possible effort to protect and love their kids, despite being in the public eye. However, the Spice Girls star did not make any direct comment on Brooklyn's allegation and subsequent scrutiny of their family. In her words:

"We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be. We've been in the public eye for more than 30 years now, and all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that's all I really want to say about it."

Brooklyn Beckham accused his parents of promoting "Brand Beckham"

In contrast to Victoria, Brooklyn directly addressed the family tension earlier in 2026. He posted a lengthy note on his Instagram account, explaining the exact reasons for his distance from his family. The 27-year-old alleged that his family prioritised their public image, or what he called "Brand Beckham", for genuine relationships. He also claimed that during the majority of his life, he felt that his parents controlled his life, which caused him anxiety until he distanced himself. Sharing why he decided to speak on the matter in public, Brooklyn said:

"I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."

Furthermore, Brooklyn cited certain specific incidents that led to the breakdown of his relationship with his parents. It included tensions around his wedding to Nicola Peltz, during which they disagreed on many decisions; he also alleged that his parents tried to interfere in their relationship and in their finances. He eventually clarified in his note that he has no intention to reconcile with his family.
