Victoria 'Invited' Brooklyn's Exes Between Him And Nicola, Danced 'Inappropriately' At Their Wedding

The Beckham family has been feuding for a long time now. The feud in David and Victoria's family began when Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Pletz got married. It was a few days ago, when PEOPLE reported that Victoria and David tried to mend things between them by communicating with each other and by inviting them to the important events.

Later, sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Victoria and David never reached out to Nicola over the course of a year. Brooklyn was first reported to unfollow his parents, but it was later known that they had been blocked by him. Now, on January 19, 2026, Brooklyn took to his IG handle and shared a lengthy statement, wherein he detailed about what was the issue that he faced with his parents, leading to their feud.

Victoria Beckham 'hijacked' Brooklyn and Nicola's first dance, 'invited' his exes into their lives

Reports claimed that Victoria Beckham was the one to take the responsibility of making the wedding dress, but just before the wedding, the designer cancelled delivery, which led Nicola to quickly find a new dress. Which began with this, ended with Victoria 'hijacking' the then newly married couple's first dance. In his statement, Brooklyn added that his mum hijacked his first dance with Nicola, which they had practised for weeks.

Marc Anthony, the guest, called Nicola and Brooklyn on stage, but it was Victoria who was waiting to dance with her son. Brooklyn further added that in front of 500 guests, his mom danced really inappropriately, which left him humiliated. He further mentioned that the only reason he had to remarry Nicola was to replace the 2022 wedding with new memories. 

The couple got married in 2022, and in 2025, they renewed their wedding vows, wherein his family was not invited. Brooklyn further mentioned that his wife, Nicola, had been insulted by his family every time, and so much so that Victoria even 'invited' women from his past, which left both of them very 'uncomfortable'. Sharing his feelings about his mom stealing his first dance, Brooklyn said:

"My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife. But instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment."

Brooklyn Beckham reached the 'breaking point' with his parents

The feud has been going on for a long time in the Beckham family, but both parties kept up with their silence until January 19, 2026, when Brooklyn finally came forward with a 6-page-long statement. Now, Page Six quoted sources by saying that there had been a massive breach of trust last week. Page Six also reported that Brooklyn and Nicola tried everything to mend things with Victoria and David, but nothing worked, and the couple couldn't take it anymore, as it had blown into a massive power struggle.

On the other hand, a source told PEOPLE that Nicola and Brooklyn wanted to live their lives quietly, and they even tried to mend things, but the couple remained constantly hurt over the family's false narratives. As per the source, Nicola and Brooklyn are sick of it, and the latter is now ready to speak the truth. The source revealed:

"They just wanted to quietly live their lives and be married but after reading enough of the relentless inaccuracies about Nicola, a family member had had enough and wanted to set the record straight last year. And then the Beckhams had plenty of time to make amends and try and fix the damage and instead they continued to push these false narratives, and Brooklyn and Nicola are just sick of it. Brooklyn knows his truth and was ready to speak it."
