Gold Coast Titans Cheerleader Breeana Robinson's Death Was Not From Balcony, Family Raises Concerns

Gold Coast Titans cheerleader Breeana Robinson was 21 years old when she died back on January 29, 2013. According to the latest update in the case, an inquest has opened after the death of Breeana was initially ruled a suicide. She reportedly fell from her balcony on the 11th floor of her Gold Coast apartment building. Now, Breeana's family has claimed that there was a third-party intervention due to which the 21-year-old died.

Breeana Robinson's family has concerns that she may not have taken her own life

Breeana Robinson's then partner, Jayden Daniel Moorea, was the last person who had seen the Gold Coast Titans cheerleader alive. According to the latest report by nine.com, Breeana's family claimed that her partner, Jayden was abusive and had also accessed her bank account after her death.

Breeana Robinson's family has challenged her last moments before she jumped to her death from an 11th-storey Gold Coast balcony on January 29, 2013. The family has concerns that Breeana may not have taken her own life and that there was an intervention by a third party.

For those who do not know, Breeana's partner, Jayden Daniel Moorea, back in 2019 was charged with the murder of Breeana. He faced a trial and was not found guilty. All the charges back in 2023 were dropped. According to reports, Jayden had lied to Breeana about his age and had also sent abusive messages.

Jayden was accused of domestic violence, and Breeana had many protection orders against him. When the cops had searched their phones, they were reportedly surprised to see a lot of abusive messages. The cops back then, according to a report by PEOPLE had said:

"What was seen was an excessive number of both abusive and derogatory text messages sent by Mr Moorea to Ms Robinson. Those messages seemed to demonstrate their relationship featured significant emotional abuse, coercive control, stalking and surveillance-type behaviours. In the days following Breeana’s death, there is evidence to suggest Mr Moorea attempted to access her bank account and superannuation."

Jayden Daniel Moorea had told the cops that Breeana had made her way over the balcony's railings. This was after she felt alone in a spare bedroom. When Jayden had gone to see her in the spare bedroom, he stated that he had looked out on the balcony, and she was up and over the railing and in mid-flight.

Jayden Daniel Moorea, speaking about Breeana's fall from the balcony, claimed that it was like she had launched herself off the balcony, and he noticed a chair next to the railing, and forensic officers observed that chair. Robinson's family claims that she looked happy, future-oriented, to her friends and family. This was on the day she passed away.

Breeana Robinson's mom had attended the pre-inquest conference reportedly via a video link. The inquest will be held on October 19, 2026, according to the reports. During the court hearing, it was said that Moorea and Robinson had met on social media in 2012 and had started dating. The ex-pair had an on-and-off relationship for a few months and had reconciled before she passed away. Moorea had sent Robinson many abusive texts, and Coroner Jim Bryson had shared in court that the texts were very derogatory. In his words:

"There was an excessive number of both abusive and derogatory text messages sent by Mr Moorea to Ms Robinson. Their relationship featured significant abuse, emotional abuse, coercive control, stalking and surveillance-type behaviours, including intimidation and isolation.”

Breeana Robinson's lover Jayden Daniel Moorea, who was earlier known as Daniel Shearin, had told the cops that she was upset. This is because she wanted the relationship to be better. He had claimed that she had been to the bedroom and he was in another bedroom. He claimed Breaana was seen 'over the railing balcony' and then she had 'launched herself off the balcony'.
