21-Year-Old Woman Died After Crew Threw Her Without Rope, Witness Claims It Was 'Supposed To Be' Him

A Brazilian woman, Maria Eudarda Rodrigues de Freitas, started her day on June 13, 2026, thinking it to be the biggest adventure as she wanted to try bungee jumping from the Skeleton Bridge of Brazil. But it turned out to be the last day of her life as the crew members responsible for her life forgot to attach the safety rope. Now, a witness came forward and revealed that it was supposed to be given to him at Maria's place.

Witness claimed it was supposed to be him in place of the 21-year-old, but got saved

There are times when God protect us from a big accident or mishap by making us late. This is exactly what happened with a Brazilian horror witness, who saw 21-year-old Maria fall from the bridge without the safety rope and die. Horrifying videos have surfaced on the internet, and people cannot believe how such a lapse in safety happened in the most dangerous sport activity.

The person named Higor William Diniz Ferreira revealed that it was he who was supposed to jump at that time, but since he left his home late, he got late reaching the bridge. However, he had no idea that leaving his home just 40 minutes late could help him be saved from the horror. He was quoted as saying:

"It was supposed to be me, because I was supposed to leave home today at 6am to go there. However, I ended up being late and left at 6.40pm. My jump, between me and this woman, was like five to ten people. It was the time I was late. The time she spent in front of me."

Higor further revealed that he found out about the bungee jumping company on social media. He also revealed that the staff members told him that they had been working there for four or five years and nothing bad had ever happened. He stated that he had earlier jumped at that location, and the safety gear was always checked, but this time they forgot the rope. Higor further stated that all the boys were being double checked, but they didn't check the woman's safety gear. There were three men, and they all ignored the safety gear and threw her from the bridge. He said:

"All the boys checked if it was right, but they didn’t check the woman’s. There were three boys and the three ignored the fact that she was thrown like that."

Higor further revealed that after they threw the 21-year-old off the bridge and realised that they forgot to attach the rope, one of them put his hand on his head, got up, took his things and left the place, even before the police, firefighters or ambulance arrived at the location. But to everyone's surprise, the crew members detained claimed that they were not trying to flee. So far, six men have been detained in connection with the horrific incident, while investigations into the matter are still ongoing.

To err is human! But to forget the most important thing, like a safety gear in the most dangerous sport, is just inhumane. This is what happened with Maria, a 21-year-old Brazilian fitness enthusiast. One of the three men detained in the matter, who threw her off the bridge, claimed that he just did not remember checking the rope on Maria before throwing her off the bridge.
