Brazil Bungee Jump Row, Instructor Removed Go Pro Camera From Maria Eduarda's Body After Her Death

It was on June 13, 2026, when 21-year-old Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas met her end. She had taken part in bungee jumping from the Skeleton Bridge located in Brazil's Sao Paulo. Now, according to reports on social media, a witness had claimed that one of the instructors who was responsible for the death of the Brazilian student had removed her GoPro camera. This was after she had plunged 130 feet right into her death.

There have been three instructors who have been charged over the demise of Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas. According to social media reports, a witness named Rafael Goulard, who was next in line for the jump, saw an instructor approaching Freitas' body. This was post the fall, and then the GoPro camera was removed from her body. Maria had paid extra to use the camera for her adventurous experience. The witness had stated that he reportedly took the handle off the GoPro camera from Maria's neck. This was after her body was brought down. Now, the camera has become the central focus of the investigation as it may have captured Maria's final moments.

Three instructors have been pressed with charges of homicide. A user even said, "Attaching the rope is kinda like the most important part. Nice a new tampering with evidence charge. Well, the cops are now examining if the camera was intentionally removed and if any evidence was tampered post the tragedy. According to social media reports, Maria's device has not been found. The missing video could help establish what took place before her fall. Well, the three instructors named- Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff, Vitor de Freitas Gonçalves and Maicon Fernandes Cintra have been arrested and also charged with homicide. This is under Brazil's Dolus Eventualis doctrine, which states that a person has consciously accepted what looked like a potentially fatal risk.
