The entire Deol family is still mourning the loss of the legendary actor, Dharmendra. For the unversed, the veteran actor tragically passed away on November 24, 2025. Since then, his entire sea of fans and the family have been in shock. Amid that loss, the Animal actor, Bobby Deol sat down for a conversation with Esquire, during which he opened up about his family and how his death had brought him closer to his half-sisters, Ahana and Esha.
A few hours ago, Bobby Deol sat down for a candid conversation with Esquire India, during which he opened up about a major regret of his life. When asked more about the same, Bobby Deol had shared that he regrets not spending much time with Dharmendra. Further, he also explained that after the tragedy, he has come close to his family and kids. Bobby Deol was quoted as saying:
"There are all these days, where I wish I had sat with him more. I wish I had asked him more questions. Now more than ever, I’m mindful of being with my sons, my wife, and my family. The box office, the reviews, the roles, eventually they don’t matter, man. Success is measured in how much time you can afford to spend with the ones you love. What’s the point of fame and wealth when there’s no one to witness it with you?"

During the same conversation, Bobby Deol also stated that he still watches his father, Dharmendra’s reels on Instagram. Talking about the same, "You know, I keep watching his reels on Instagram. He was so candid, so full of warmth. Sometimes it feels like he’s talking directly to me." Further, talking about the shirt the Animal actor wore at the premiere of Dharmendra's last film, Ikkis, Bobby Deol explained, "He’d (Dharmendra) wear it everywhere, so I took it out and wore it at the premiere. It felt like he was there with me."

Further, during the candid chat, Bobby Deol also revealed that Dharmendra’s tragic death has brought him closer to his half-sisters, Ahana and Esha Deol. For the unversed, the veteran actor first got married to Prakash Kaur with whom he has four children, including Sunny and Bobby Deol. Later, he tied the knot with Hema Malini with whom he welcomed Esha and Ahana. Talking about coming close to his half-sisters, Bobby Deol stated:
"I feel we’re all dealing with it in our own ways. Sometimes you misunderstand each other because you’re hurting. Everyone feels their pain is more than the other’s. But you give it time. Let it heal. Loss has its own way of bringing a family closer."

Bobby Deol is one of the most-loved and celebrated Bollywood actors. After making his debut with Barsaat, alongside Twinkle Khanna, the actor went on to appear in movies like Kareeb, Soldier, Badal, Aashiq, Kranti, Gupt and more. Later, after taking a break, he broke his image of being the hero and made headlines with his role in Animal. In recent times, he ruled the social media, with his role in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. Talking about his personal life, Bobby Deol is married to Tanya Ahuja and the couple share two sons named Aryamann and Dharam.
