It was in 2007 when Bipasha Basu, who was ruling the Indian film industry, was invited to Portugal's famous Luz Stadium in Lisbon to attend an event about naming the seven wonders of the world. During the ceremony, Bipasha was coordinated by iconic footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo on the stage. The duo looked quite comfortable and entertained the crowd with their funny interaction.
However, after the event, the then Manchester United player, Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted in a nightclub with Bipasha Basu. The duo looked quite cosy and also shared some intimate moments while dancing with each other. Not only this, but a British media company also got their hands on some pictures of Bipasha’s kiss with Cristiano, and after they were made public, everyone was shocked and stunned back home in India.
In an interview with a news portal, Bipasha Basu opened up about her kissing pictures with Cristiano Ronaldo and shared what had really happened that night in Lisbon, Portugal. The actress called the footballer 'cute' and revealed that she would be invited to all his matches. She had said:
"Meeting him was a dream come true. After the event, we went out clubbing, and that was simply fantastic. He is so cute, and it was strange when he called me cute. He is a friend now and he has promised me that I will be invited for all his matches."
During this incident, Bipasha was dating John Abraham, and after some time, they broke up with each other. As per the reports, Bipasha’s kiss with Ronaldo was one of the leading factors behind their breakup.
While working together in the film, Ajnabee (2001), Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor had a fight over a dress designer named, Vikram Phadnis. If the reports are to be believed, Vikram was Kareena’s designer, but out of courtesy, he tried to help Bipasha with her outfits. However, it wasn’t appreciated by Kareena, and she reportedly stopped talking to Bipasha and even called her a 'kali billi'. During her early years in Bollywood, Bipasha Basu agreed to pose alongside Ameesha Patel for a magazine with an interesting concept. Former politician, late Amar Singh was also surrounded by Bollywood celebrities, courtesy of his close relations with Amitabh Bachchan and his love for cinema. However, the late politician’s alleged sex talk controversy with Bipasha Basu is still one of the biggest Bollywood scandals of all time. It was in 2006 when an alleged sex chat between Bipasha and Amar was leaked online, in which the former politician was heard making an insensitive remark that angered everyone. He had said:
"Age matters between the legs."
The former politician had said this insensitive comment to a woman on the call, who joked about his age. After the audio clip was leaked online, speculations were rife that the woman in the audio was Bipasha Basu. Although the actress denied it multiple times, it was Amar Singh, whose confession made it clear that it wasn’t Bipasha. The politician had admitted that the man in the audio clip is him, but the woman isn’t Bipasha, clearing the air about his sex chat with the actress. The matter was well settled in the end, but it had brought Bipasha’s name in the bad light for some time, and there were people, who never believed in Amar Singh’s words and called it a settlement behind the curtains.
