He also allegedly appeared a bit distant from Mika Abdalla and Ella Bright during his June 27, 2026 appearance at the Prime Video Obsessed Fest in LA. To mention, there's no confirmation of the same, and the conversation about the buzz was just an assumption.
However, Belmont has now broken his silence and indirectly dismissed the buzz about his fallout with Ella. The actor sat for an interview with E!, where he gushed over his co-star. Speaking about the same, Belmont mentioned that everything about Ella makes her the perfect 'Hannah'. He also thinks there's no one better to fit 'Hannah's role than Ella.
The duo shares a fun-filled rapport with each other to this day, following their firm friendship, which they created while filming the first season of Off Campus. Belmont, speaking to the outlet, stated that he has been calling Ella 'Wellsy'. Belmont shared:
“Everything about Ella makes the perfect Hannah [Wells]. I mean, she’s fantastic, she’s an incredible actress and she’s the best person for that character by far. I’ve been calling her “Wellsy” a lot, which is really fun. And she always rolls her eyes … ‘What’s up Wellsy?’”

Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright openly talked about their fondness for each other while shooting for the show. Speaking to Us Weekly, Cameli said that both he and Ella are lucky that they formed a good friendship with each other, because doing a job wouldn't be an easy task if two co-stars didn't like each other. However, as things turned out, the on-screen chemistry paved the way for audiences to ship the couple in real life, thereby constantly scrutinising their personal lives.
This, according to Belmont, made him feel that he has been put under the microscope and has been constantly observed. Belmont, speaking to The Hollywood Reporter a few days ago, said that he had been good at dealing with the noise around and that he's not affected by what's being said about him or his close ones, because he's well aware of the reality. Sharing how he felt that he was constantly being observed, Belmont added:
"Look, if you’re a fan of the show, the thing that I’m so proud of and pour my heart and soul into, then that’s f***ing awesome. But the way our show popped, there’s another level to fandom these days, especially with the internet. Sometimes there’s a real venom to the way people put you under microscopes. You feel constantly observed."
