On December 1, 2019, Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag had tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. As per a DBPost report, Vivek and Babita’s wedding had only 21 baraatis and the duo had taken one extra phera i.e., the eighth phera which they had dedicated to the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ initiative. Since their wedding, the duo has been sharing adorable pictures on their respective social media handles, giving major couple goals.
Babita Phogat often shares glimpses of her family time. Whether it is about celebrating festivals with her loved ones or posting adorable pictures of her nephew, Arjun Saroha, Babita never misses a chance of updating her fans about her personal life. On August 24, 2020, Babita took to her IG handle and shared pictures of her ‘pehalwaan pariwaar’ having dinner together. In the pictures, we could see the Phogat sisters Geeta, Babita, Sangeeta posing with Vivek Suhag, Pawan Kumar Saroha and Dushyant Phogat. Along with the pictures, Babita wrote, “Raat ko dinner ke samay poora pehalwaan pariwaar.”
Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag have been making the most of their newly-married life and to mark the beginning of the same, the latter had surprised his better-half with the most special gift ever. On December 4, 2019, Babita had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a couple of pictures with a new car, gifted to her by her husband, Vivek. In the pictures, we could see Babita had donned an orange-coloured ensemble and had radiated the newbie bridal glow. Alongside it, she had written, "What better than a new awesome car to start our new journey together. thank you @suhagvivek for this awesome and considerate gift." On December 1, 2019, Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag had become each others' forever. For the wedding, Babita had donned an all-red lehenga and had completed her look with pearl jewellery. On the other hand, Vivek had looked dapper in a beige-coloured sherwani and safa. What caught our attention was Babita’s red lehenga, which was exactly the same as the one worn by Priyanka Chopra Jonas on her wedding.
As a part of the wedding ceremony, Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag had also planted trees, making an important statement to save the environment. According to the DBPost, Babita had expressed, “Father did not allow us sisters to doll up, but today the wish has been fulfilled. Today I am very happy after becoming a bride. Very happy after wearing a bridal dress. When we used to go to the wedding ceremony of other girls, we sisters used to wear bangles and rings many times seeing other girls. But Dad did not allow. He often said that your goal should be just wrestling. When the goal is achieved, then do the makeup.
