Recently, Ayushmann got a chance to praise his wife, Tahira at Hindustan Shikhar Samagam 2020 event. The actor was asked why he chose not to hide that he was married, unlike earlier superstars used to protect their single status. To this, Ayushmann shared the idea of being the best husband and said that one should love his wife so much that even neighbour’s wife falls in love with him. He further added, "Time has changed, earlier there used to be a mystery around an actor’s life. The trend of superstardom will soon be over. Now the content is king. Tahira is not just my life partner, she is also my life coach. She also used to teach me during college when I used to remain busy with theatre."
Talking about Ayushmann and Tahira's love story, the duo has known each other for 21 years and they still radiate couple goals with their adorable social media PDAs and in-love pictures. Ayushmann and Tahira know how to shower love on each other and they make sure to be the pillar of support. On Tahira's birthday last year, Ayushmann had penned an adorable note for his wife that could be read as "Tahira means pure and virtuous. That’s what you are. Ayushmann and Tahira's love story is an inspiration for all the new lovers, but like every other couple, they too had their share of ups and downs. In an interview with SpotboyE, Tahira had talked about the time when she had felt insecure in her relationship. She had shared, "I had a problem with him kissing on screen. I felt like a big, huge fat whale sitting at home. When you are pregnant your hormones also go up and down. Here this boy is looking at his youngest youth best and he is romancing women and what is this onscreen kiss! We both were very young. He didn’t have the time and patience to take me along and I didn’t have the patience to understand. There was this disconnect that we were not there for each other to take each other along in that journey. Somewhere he knew that she doesn’t mean mad. I also knew he wasn’t cheating. I had to evolve as a person to understand what art is."
She had further stated, "I had given up many times but he did not. He didn’t use to give up but he also didn’t makeup. We both have really evolved as artists, as companions and we have seen a journey including cancer being a part of it. Where we are right now, it is at its strongest best."
