Ashlee Jenae's Fiance, Joe McCann Arrested, 48-Yr-Old's Passport Seized Amid Influencer's Death

Ashlee Jenae's death has left many puzzled. The 31-year-old was having the time of her life as she celebrated her birthday on a dream trip, and even got a dream proposal from her longtime beau, Joe McCann. Soon, the dreams shattered, and as per reports, she was found dead in her hotel in Tanzania. While the family is seeking answers, all eyes are on Joe McCan. As per a new report, he has been arrested.

A report by The Tanzania Times revealed that Joe McCann has been held by police in Zanzibar. They are questioning him over the death of the 31-year-old US-based influencer. Not only this, but his passport has also been seized by the police. It is worth mentioning that Joe McCann is a cryptocurrency dealer in the United States.

It is worth mentioning that reports claimed that Ashlee had tried to take her own life shortly after a major fight with her fiancé, Joe McCann. The fight escalated to a level that hotel staff had to intervene and separate the couple into two separate rooms. Joe McCann was 17 years older than Ashlee. He is currently 48 years old. The two checked into the Zuri Zanzibar Hotel on April 4, 2026. Joe McCann's real name is Joseph Isaac McCann. As per the investigation officer, the couple had booked the hotel for seven days and were expected to check out on April 10, 2026. 

The Tanzania Times also revealed that after a fight broke out between the couple, they were kept in different rooms. Later, when the hotel attendant went to check on Ashlee, she was looking for a phone charger, and the attendant got it for her. She then told the attendant to come back in 15 minutes. When the hotel staff came back, the room was locked, and the lights were off. Using a spare key, the attendant entered her room. Ashley was hanging, the help was called, and when she was untied from the nook, she was still breathing. She was rushed to the hospital, but died after two days. 

Ashlee Jenae's family reveals they have not heard anything from Joe McCann after their daughter's sudden demise

Recently, TMZ talked with Ashlee Jenae's family, and they revealed shocking details about her fiance. As per the family, Joe McCann is radio silent after Ashlee Jenae's death. Ashlee's father revealed that Joe had not told them about Ashlee's death or what she had been through. The father was quoted as saying:

"We think it very odd that our daughter was travelling with Joe and we don't hear anything from Joe. To me it's very odd, and the initial call we got from Joe was 11 hours after something has transpired in the room. That's very odd, 11 hours later, something has transpired. Joe was like Ashlee was okay, she was stable, and don't worry about it."

When the TMZ reporter questioned whether they are in touch with Joe, someone from Ashlee's family revealed that there has been no communication. Further, the influencer's father stated that they need to know the timeline of what happened to her or how things transpired.
