Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 on April 12, 2026 and left millions of her fans grieving. She has had some of the closest memories with people close to her who have nothing but good things to say about Asha Tai. One of them who is in deep grief is Asha's domestic help, Sunam Salve. She has been working in the house of the legendary singer since like more than four decades and remembered how the singer always had a good behaviour towards her and had also visited her slum.
Asha Bhosle's domestic help, Suman Salve, broke down upon learning of the singer's demise. Suman, in an interview with IANS, revealed that Asha's behaviour towards her was always very good. She also revealed of getting respect despite being a poor lady. Suman Salve's voice had a lot of grief, and she expressed gratitude to have got the opportunity to serve the singer. Suman also revealed that despite achieving global success and fame, Asha was very humble and always treated Suman in a dignified and also in a compassionate manner. This side of Asha Bhosle rarely made headlines and was known to be a lady with warmth and also humility. In her words:
"I used to work at her house, and her behaviour was very good. She gave a lot of respect to a poor woman like me who lives in a slum. She had even visited my village. She never refused me leave whenever I needed it."

Asha Bhosle was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after reports surfaced that she had a cardiac arrest. The singer had cardiac along with respiratory issues and was shifted to the ICU, when doctors revealed that her state was critical. Asha Bhosle's domestic help, Suman Salve, further mentioned that she was very concerned about the singer when she got admitted and said:
"When we came to know that she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital, we were very worried. Today’s news has deeply saddened us. Asha Didi was very kind. I am deeply saddened by her demise. I have no words to express this grief."

Asha Bhosle's son, Anand Bhosle, in an interview with the ANI, informed about the demise of his mother. The last rites of the singer was held at Shivaji Park, Mumbai on April 13, 2026. At one end, Asha's domestic help, Suman, spoke about how the singer not just ruled Hindi cinema with her voice but also the hearts of people with her kindness. According to Dr Prateet Samdani, who was looking after Asha Bhosle, the singer passed away reportedly due to multiple organ failure. It's the end of an era in the Hindi music industry, but for someone like Asha's domestic help, the loss feels personal. Asha and her elder sister, Lata Mangeshkar, were both known for their kindness toward everyone.

Despite having a toxic marriage with her first ex-husband, Ganpatrao Bhosle and facing the loss of her daughter, Varsha Bhosle, in 2012, who died by suicide, Asha did not let her music career be affected. The legendary singer had her own set of struggles, including personal grief. Asha's voice was always in demand till the last leg of her career. For the unversed, Asha was born in the famous Mangeshkar household, and it was in 1943 when she first sang professionally as a child.
