Bollywood’s one of the hottest actors, Arjun Rampal is an exemplar when we talk about this. Arjun and his ex-wife, Mehr were top-notch models and have been married since their modelling days. After 20 years of marital bliss, the couple decided to part ways this year (2018). The ex-couple had even issued a joint statement pertaining to the same. It read, “After a 20-year-long beautiful journey filled with love and beautiful memories, we would like to share, that all journeys have different paths. We feel that it is time for us to move on to different destinations henceforth. We have always been solid when it has come to us, we will continue to be solid for each other and our loved ones, as we embark upon a new journey”.
However, what’s great to note that the ex-couple are apparently having a gala time together in Paris, where they are holidaying with their two beautiful daughters, Mahikaa and Myra. How do we know? Arjun himself took to Instagram to post a picture of his ex-wife and two daughters and wrote a crisp caption which further added to the picture. The caption read, “Parisian ladies” which was coupled with hashtags- ‘Paris’, ‘vacation’, ‘beautiful girls’ and a heart emoji. For all those who missed a fresh glance of Mehr, here’s the picture:
Arjun and Mehr did not have a peaceful breakup. Reports had it that Arjun’s growing closeness with Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife, Sussanne Khan, was the reason behind their spilt. A source had earlier revealed, “When his equations with many industry friends were worsening, his friendship with Sussanne only strengthened over time and Mehr grew extremely insecure. It led to several fights between the couple.” The source further added, “Mehr and Sussanne yelled at one another before Mehr stormed out of the party. The two have not spoken to each other since”.
One of the reports also suggested, “They were fighting so loudly and throwing things at each other that the neighbours threatened to complain to the police as it wasn’t the first fight of its kind. Mehr apologised profusely to them and immediately after that, Arjun moved into a five-star service apartment for a week”.
In a throwback interview with Simi Garewal, Mehr was asked about her insecurity because of the budding female fan following of Arjun. To this, Mehr had answered, “If you are getting attention then I think if the person really loves you then they join in with you in getting that (attention). They enjoy it for you. If they don’t then I guess you both are anyway on different wavelengths. You cannot compete in a relationship. In my relationship, I try to make my partner feel as secure as I can because I know insecurity is a really harsh thing and it can not only mess up your heart but your mind as well.”
Meanwhile, grapevine was abuzz that post-divorce, Arjun was ‘keeping in touch’ with DJ Waaley Babu girl, Natasa Stankovic. A source had even added, “Arjun and Natasa got acquainted while working on Daddy and they have apparently kept in touch with each other”.
