Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora are one of the most sought-after couples of the glamour world. It was in 2016, when Malaika had called off her 17-year long marriage with actor Arbaaz Khan. The two had announced their separation in 2016 and had gotten legally divorced in 2017. After their separation, the dating rumours of Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor had started doing rounds. From their dinner dates to secret vacations, the duo had become the talk of the town.

When Arjun had turned 34 on June 26, 2019, the couple had made their relationship official. Malaika had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture of herself and had captioned it as “Happy birthday my crazy, insanely funny and amazing @arjunkapoor love and happiness always". Since then, the two have been giving major relationship goals to the millennials with their oh-so-lovely chemistry.
In an interview with Film Companion, Arjun talked about his relationship with Malaika Arora. Revealing why he respects her past and privacy, Arjun stated, “I don't try and be overtly talkative about my personal life, because I feel you should respect your partner, and there is a past there... And I've been in that situation where I've seen things pan out publicly and it's not always very nice, because there are kids affected.”
Sharing how their relationship has grown with time, Arjun continued, “I try and keep a respectful boundary. I do what she's comfortable with. And my career should not hinge on my relationship. So you have to create boundaries. I talk about it today because there is a certain respect and regard given to the relationship. We have given it time. I have tried to give it a certain amount of dignity by giving it space, and not having it be in your face.”
On January 3, 2021, Arjun had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a glimpse of his lady love's cooking skills on his IG stories. In the video, we could see a plate, wherein Malaika's homecooked food was waiting patiently to get eaten by Arjun. Atop it, Arjun had written, "When she cooks for you on Sunday."

Malaika had kickstarted the year 2020 with a mushy picture with Arjun. On January 1, 2020, Malaika had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with Arjun giving him a kiss. Along with it, she had written, "Sun, star, light, happiness. 2020".
In an interview with the Filmfare, Arjun Kapoor had candidly spoken about accepting his relationship with Malaika Arora in media and how his family has been supportive of his choices. Speaking about how happy his family is with his relationship with Malaika, Arjun had stated, “They are happy. That's the reason I have been able to come out. There is genuine happiness for me. I have been through hell. I have been through a roller-coaster... from the age of 10-11 till 33 today. My parents separated when I was around 11 years old. Today I have some stability in my life and if someone gives me happiness, my family won't be against it. I am genuinely happy. That is why a Friday at the box-office doesn't decide my life. Three years back, I had have been like, I am dying! What's gonna happen? Today, I am relaxed.”
