Whether it is their romantic dinner and lunch dates together or their social media PDA and lovely banters, Malaika and Arjun are en route to becoming the ‘IT’ couple of the showbiz world. Ever since Arjun and Malaika’s dating rumours started doing the rounds, none of them has ever confirmed it. So much so, that their wedding rumours keep hitting it to the headlines, but all in vain. Recently, in an interaction with an online portal, Arjun has poured his heart out about his wedding plans and how he feels when people speculate about the dating spree.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arjun had shared his wedding plans with Malaika and while doing so, he indirectly confirms dating Malaika. Arjun was quoted as saying, “I’ve had a pretty roller coaster life since my childhood. I do not want to jump the gun, I want to take things one step at a time but, thank you for your wishes, thank you for your concern. Aur, mai jabhi bhi shaadi karunga, agar karunga, toh sabko bataunga. Arjun also added, “No marriage plans yaar. Am just very very happy, very very grateful that the media, and the people and generally everybody has been respectful towards me and my personal, and professional life. I think there has been a lot of dignity that has been given to me, a lot of respect has given to me. That is why there is certain openness from my end. I think things should take their own course. Things should fall into the place when they are meant to.”
When Arjun was further asked about how it feels when people speculate about his wedding which is too personal and sensitive, he retorted, “The speculative nature of our profession will always remain. Which is always gonna be there, which I think is a small price to pay as actors. But I think it has more to do with the fact that all my peers are getting married. So it becomes part of Sab ki ho rahi hai, toh iski bhi ho jayegi (Everyone is getting married, he too will get married). But, I am 33 I think I have little time before I take that plunge. A BollywoodLife report had sometime back suggested that the duo has even bought a flat together in Lokhandwala, Mumbai. The report could be read as, “Arjun and Malaika have together purchased a flat in a plush society near Lokhandwala Complex. It is their joint investment together. Whether they plan to live in or no is entirely up to them. But they are surely getting a space for themselves. Currently, the interiors of the house are being done and both Malaika and Arjun are looking into the details.”
Reports of their probable April 2019 wedding had also made it to the Page 3, but those later turned out to be just rumours. A Deccan Chronicle report had earlier stated, “Malaika and Arjun are extremely fond of each other. They have never really spoken about each other, but they are extremely happy in their own personal space. Speaking of their public appearances, the couple does not shy away anymore from their PDAs. A media report recently suggested, “Malaika is no longer keen to hide her proximity to Arjun. When she was with Arbaaz, the Khan family, especially Salman, made their disapproval very clear. But now that she has broken away from Arbaaz, she sees no reason to be coy about her closeness to Arjun. Besides, Arbaaz is also seeing someone else now.”
