Love is a beautiful feeling and is irrespective of any biases regarding caste, colour, creed, age, sex or whatsoever. It just happens! And when it comes to our favourite celebrities, time and again in interviews, they have given us exemplars of what not to do when in love, which usually begins with, not to bother with what people are saying, just keep on loving. And a similar ‘teaching’ was bestowed to us by B-town’s latest lovebirds, Arjun Kapoor and his ladylove, Malaika Arora. The 12 years of age gap between Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor has always irked people. But look what happens when you are not bothered by what people have to say about you or your relationship! You end up in a happily ever after! After their much-speculated April 19, 2019, Christian wedding and multitudes of sources saying various things about them, Malaika and Arjun have ultimately shown to the world what it means when someone says ‘we are taking it slow and steady’.
Arjun Kapoor is keeping very busy nowadays, all thanks to the promotions of his soon-to-release film, India’s Most Wanted. And he often finds himself answering one common question, ‘when is one of the most eligible bachelors of the Tinseltown getting married?’ In a latest interview with Zoom, Arjun drew a surprising comparison between Taimur Ali Khan and his wedding to Malaika Arora. He shared, “You guys are supposed to do what your editors want you to do. I don't think anybody is dying to know every single day but what happens is there are speculations because I guess you get clicks. You get conversations and chatters. I mean if Taimur does that to people then I think my marriage speculation is not such a big deal. But, in all fairness, I think the media's been respectful, they've given me the space to come out and be comfortable. So, I will not hide anything beyond. If I do get married, I will tell everybody.”
Arjun Kapoor had once shared about his wedding, “I have no qualms about saying that I am not getting married. People go bald after getting married.” He had further added, “Marriage is definitely not going to happen now. I’m happy on both, the personal and professional fronts. I have always been open. Be assured that I will not shock you all. If there is something to be spoken about, I will inform you all and make you a part of it.” (Must Read: Sara Ali Khan And Kartik Aaryan Can't Get Enough Of Each Other, Crack Jokes Hold Each Other's Hand)
To take you on a flashback about Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor's rumoured Easter wedding, talks were on that the duo was headed towards a Christian wedding, which was on April 19, 2019. A DNA report had then quoted a source saying, “Arjun and Malaika have told their teams to keep themselves free for the wedding. They want it to be an extremely private affair with only close friends and family, so the hair and make-up artists and other members have been strictly asked not to share any information with anybody.”
Another report about Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor’s rumoured April 2019 wedding had it, “Our well-placed source spills the beans that Malla will walk down the aisle on April 19. The invitees' list will, of course, have to-be-bride and groom’s close friend circle like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor and their Bandra girl gang, with whom the couple usually hangs out. We also hear that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are also on the guest list.”
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arjun Kapoor had shared about his wedding plans with Malaika Arora and in the process, he indirectly confirmed dating her! Arjun was quoted as saying, “I’ve had a pretty roller coaster life since my childhood. I do not want to jump the gun, I want to take things one step at a time but, thank you for your wishes, thank you for your concern. Aur, mai jabhi bhi shaadi karunga, agar karunga, toh sabko bataunga. Yeh koi chupane wali cheez toh nai hai.”
About his wedding plans, Arjun Kapoor had also shared, “No marriage plans yaar. Am just very very happy, very very grateful that the media, and the people and generally everybody has been respectful towards me and my personal, and professional life. I think there has been a lot of dignity that has been given to me, a lot of respect has given to me. That is why there is certain openness from my end. I think things should take their own course. Things should fall into the place when they are meant to.” (Also Read: Arjun Rampal Invites Ex-Wife Mehr And Kids For GF Gabriella's Baby Shower, Details Inside)
When Arjun Kapoor was further asked about how it feels when people speculate about his wedding which is too personal and sensitive, he had shared, “The speculative nature of our profession will always remain. Which is always gonna be there, which I think is a small price to pay as actors. But I think it has more to do with the fact that all my peers are getting married. So it becomes part of Sab ki ho rahi hai, toh iski bhi ho jayegi (Everyone is getting married, he too will get married). But, I am 33 I think I have little time before I take that plunge. It should happen when you are very very certain in life and when you know this is what you want.”
