Valentine's day is a perfect chance for lovers to declare their love, for couples in a relationship to celebrate it, and for married couples to taunt the other of forgetting the day. Well, jokes apart, the world is painted red and everyone is buying a cake, chocolate or a gift for their partner. We can see heart cut-outs at every nook and corner giving us love fever. And Bollywood's favourite power couple, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora are also busy celebrating the day with each other. Before we take you further into the story and inform you how they are celebrating the day, let us take a quick recap at Malaika and Arjun's beautiful love story. The duo became the talk of the town in the year 2018 when we had first seen them together at a fashion show. Later on, they were often spotted together on dinner dates to going on secret vacations but they never let the world know about their relationship until last year. The couple had made their relationship official on Arjun’s 34th birthday. Malaika had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with the man of her life and had captioned it as “Happy birthday my crazy, insanely funny and amazing @arjunkapoor love and happiness always".
Hence, February 14, 2020, is officially Arjun and Malaika's first Valentine's day, ever since they had declared their love to the world. While they haven't posted any special note yet. We saw an Instagram story shared by both Arjun and Malaika on their respective Instagram handles. In the picture, we can see a cute table centerpiece set up at their hotel room and it was filled with delicious chocolate-dipped strawberries. For those who don't know, Malaika had kickstarted the year 2020 by sharing a mushy picture with Arjun. On January 1, 2020, Malaika had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with Arjun while giving him a kiss. Along with it, she had written, "Sun, star, light, happiness. 2020". Last month, in an interview with The Times of India, Malaika had opened up on her marriage plans and had said that currently, her hands are full as she has to do a lot of planning to expand her business. Malaika had shared that she wants to grow it bigger and better. She had shared that 2019 was good on the professional and personal front as she was recognised as a businesswoman and a brand. But as far as her marriage is concerned, these things cannot be predicted. She had further added that they are planning to go one step at a time.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Malaika had talked about giving love another chance after divorce, and had shared, "It feels amazing! When my marriage ended, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be in another relationship and was scared of being heartbroken. But I also wanted to be in love, nurture a relationship, and this new me gave me the confidence to put myself out there and take a chance. I am so glad I did!"
In the same interview, Malaika had also opened up on the age difference and had stated, "The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she’s called ‘desperate’ and a buddhi (old).
