Archana Puran Singh is one of the most talented faces in the Hindi film industry. The diva has been a part of quite a few films. She made her debut with the movie, Abhishek in 1987. Thereafter, she enacted in some other movies like Raja Hindustani, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Mohabbatein among others. She is now most popularly known for her comic side and is the much-loved judge in the iconic comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show. In her personal life, she is married to actor, Parmeet Sethi.
Taking to her IG handle on July 24, 2023, Archana Puran Singh dropped a candid, throwback picture with her husband, Parmeet Sethi. The picture dates back to long ago, when the duo roamed around the streets during one of their foreign vacations. It featured the lovebirds posing brightly for the camera. Along with it, Archana penned a sweet caption, which can be read as:
“A while and a minute ago! Google keeps reminding me of how wonderful life has been! #googlephotos.”

As soon as the picture was shared on her IG handle, fans and followers of Archana started pouring their hearts out on the comment section. A lot of them cherished this fond memory of the couple, as they penned sweet words for her. However, a certain netizen attacked Archana brutally and penned a demeaning comment by age-shaming her. The user trolled Archana on how she looked more man than a woman and added how Kapil Sharma’s often-used ridicule about the latter using a lot of time for getting ready was actually true. The netizen wrote, “woman kam man zyada lag rahi ho… Kapil sahi kehte aapko bohot time lagta hoga roop parivartan mein.”
However, Archana Puran Singh, too, took note of this nasty comment and schooled the user immediately. She highlighted how the person has no respect for elders and harbours pathetic views about respecting women in life. Her reply could be read as:
“Kitni ghatiya soch rakhti ho itni kam umar mein. Thoda padh likh leti toh pata chalta badon se kyase pesh aate hein. Please learn to respect women of ALL ages, sizes, shapes, and appearances. How will you expect or deserve respect from men if you cannot yourself respect other women?"
Archana Puran Singh has been surely leaping beyond stereotypical boundaries when it comes to her life. Well, despite common societal notions about a woman marrying a man elder than her. Archana, on the other hand, is married to Parmeet Sethi, who is seven years younger than her. Speaking on the same lines, Archana, in an old interview with The Times Of India, revealed how she never gave a second thought to her age-gap with her husband. Moreover, she even revealed how both the families were initially apprehensive about such a match, and they were told to think twice before taking the marital leap.

In one of the earliest episodes of the popular show, The Kapil Sharma Show, Archana Puran Singh and her husband, Parmeet Sethi had reminisced about their marital journey. She revealed that her then-beau, Parmeet was adamant on marrying him despite stiff family objections. Moreover, she too was in between a tight schedule for her films. As a result, she had no other choice than to hide her wedding from everyone.
