When a child is born, his/her parents make sure that their little one gets all the happiness in this world. They are on their toes to make their baby enjoy every moment of his/her life. However, when it comes to celebrating festivals, the doting parents want their child to be a part of all of them. With that said, Bollywood actor, Aparshkati Khurana and his wife, Akriti Ahuja, are also super-excited about their daughter, Arzoie's first Lohri.
Aparshakti Khurana and Aakriti Ahuja are enjoying their parenthood journey to the fullest. After announcing their pregnancy in June 2021, Aparshakti and Aakriti had welcomed their first child on August 27, 2021. The adorable couple was blessed with a baby girl, whom they have named Arzoie A. Khurana. And, on January 13, 2022, the little munchkin will be celebrating her first Lohri.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Aparshakti Khurana opened up about his daughter, Arzoie’s first Lohri, and shared that he and his wife, Aakriti Ahuja, would have loved to have their extended family and close friends join for the celebration. However, they decided to cancel the plans keeping in mind the surge in the COVID-19 cases. He said:
“This is Arzoie’s first Lohri and we (Aakriti Ahuja, wife and I) would have loved to have our extended family and close friends join the celebration. But that won’t be possible because of the surge in cases. There would just be us now but I am still looking forward to it because it’s my little one’s first.”
Aparshakti then took a trip down the memory lane and recalled the Lohri celebrations at his home when he was a kid. The Helmet actor also shared that he wants to teach his daughter all the folk songs and added that he can't wait to see her chanting the same on Lohri. Talking about the same, he said:
“I have many good childhood memories associated with Lohri and the vibrancy of this festival. The songs, the dances, the coming together of families will always be something I’ll cherish. Mumma makes us chant Til Sarhey Paap Sarhey Paapiyaan De Paap Jadhien. I can’t wait for Arzoie to grow up and chant the same in front of the holy fire with her mouth full of popcorn and rewaris.”
Since this year marks Arzoie's first Lohri, the doting parents had planned to have a grand celebration in their hometown, Chandigarh. However, now, it will just be an intimate affair. Aparshakti is planning to give all his time to his daughter on her first Lohri. Talking about Arzoie’s first Lohri, he said:
“Arzoie is too small right now to learn about this festival but I plan to give all my time to her and even have her share of ‘rewaris, phullas and the moongfali! Even if it ruins my calorie count for the day."
A few months back, Aakriti Ahuja had shared a photo collage made by her husband, Aparshakti Khurana’s fan page, where the father and his daughter, Arzoie, had looked like an exact replica of each other. While on top was the picture of Aparshakti from his infanthood days, below was the picture of Arzoie, sleeping peacefully. Atop the picture, the fan page had written:
“When your baby starts looking like you @aparshakti_khurana.”
We wish baby Arzoie a happy and prosperous Lohri!
