Amritpal Singh Dhillon, a.k.a AP Dhillon is one of the most popular Indo-Canadian singers who has been ruling the hearts of audiophiles across the globe with his melodies. His soothing tracks and heart-touching lyrics surely make his songs a chartbuster in no time, and people cannot help but swoon over the tunes of the same. Some of the most popular songs of the artist include Brown Munde, Dil Nu, Saada Pyar, With You among others. While he surely rules millions of hearts with his talents, it seems AP Dhillon’s recent gesture failed to impress many and he got slammed for the same.
Taking to his IG handle on April 15, 2024, AP Dhillon dropped a special glimpse from his recent blockbuster live performance at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival 2024. The artist set the stage on fire, as he mesmerised the large number of audience by crooning to some of his most-loved tracks. In the clip, AP Dhillon, clad in a yellow-hued t-shirt with black trousers, could be seen passionately playing the guitar, while his band supported him with an unbelievable orchestra in the background.

However, in a shocking turn of events, one can witness, how, after a few moments, AP Dhillon does something unthinkable on-stage, which has left many unimpressed. As the clip progresses, the artist can be seen plugging out his guitar from the wires connected to the speakers and proceeded to smash it violently on stage. He struck the guitar quite a few times on the floor as it broke open and he threw it aside. Thereafter, he confidently walked off the stage. Surely, such a gesture didn’t go unnoticed, and the singer received flak for the same.

Soon enough, AP Dhillon’s puzzling clip made its way onto the internet and became viral in no time. While no particular reason cannot be asserted to the shocking gesture of the singer, it surely has fetched him a lot of backlash by eagle-eyed netizens, who condemned him for showing disrespect for a musical instrument. While some netizens mocked him for pulling off such stunts just for publicity, many others schooled him for disrespecting musical instruments that are worshipped in Indian culture.

Almost a year back, internet was filled with tons of mushy glimpses of AP Dhillon with model, Banita Sandhu. While it is not sure if their pictures were for a music video or indeed the duo were in love, nevertheless, the singer caught a lot of limelight owing to his personal life. Moreover, neither he nor Banita ever made any comment on their relationship status, that simply added fuel to the fire. However, in one of his previous interviews with Bollywood Hungama, AP Dhillon was asked whether he and his mates were committed to someone or was indeed they were single. To this, he gave a very witty response and clarified being a bachelor. In his words:
