Anushka Sharma was among the first actresses of her league to get married to her love, Indian Cricket Captain, Virat Kohli on the December of 2017. On the evening of December 11, 2017, one blush pink monotone picture from Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s social media handles, with a beautiful note happy-stirred the media and netizens. Virat and Anushka, the duo, who had never accepted their relationship in public, were now husband and wife were what the picture had depicted! Trust us you, our excitement had known no bounds! Ever since rumours about Virushka’s (as their fans fondly call them) dating spree came about, we had always rooted for them to upgrade their courtship to marriage and how beautifully it had finally happened!
Anushka Sharma had made everyone skip their heartbeat for a nanosecond when she looked like a Goddess in a pink Sabyasachi Mukherjee ensemble. But what had made her ditch the stereotypical bridal colour of red and don a pink attire? Anushka Sharma, in a recent interview with the Vogue magazine, addressed this burning question and finally revealed as to why she went for pale pink. She shared, “When I met Sabyasachi [Mukherjee] I told him very clearly that for my wedding look I wanted to go with pale pink. I didn’t want to do a traditional red because it was a day wedding. I envisioned pastel colours, flowers. The vibe was such—not too much.”
For her wedding reception in Delhi, Anushka Sharma had worn a red Benarasi saree with complementing traditional jewellery. Revealing why she had gone traditional for her reception, Anushka stated in the same interview, “I told Sabya I wanted to do a traditional red Benarasi sari and I wanted to do it with the sindoor, the heavy traditional jewellery, all of that... And I think he was also very excited by the Benarasi red. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are a happily married couple and the very sight of the duo together makes us say, “Oh so cute they are!” The actress has a unique taste in style and blurted out that she often dons apparels from her hubby’s wardrobe and the same makes him very happy! She shared, “I actually borrow a lot from his wardrobe, mostly T-shirts and stuff. Sometimes I’ll just take his jackets. Sometimes I just do it because he feels very happy when I wear his clothes.”

Sharing their wedding video, Virat had captioned it as “Can't believe it's been a year already because it feels like it happened just yesterday. Time has truly flown by. Happy anniversary to my best friend and my soulmate. Mine forever @anushkasharma”, while Anushka had written, “It's heaven, when you don't sense time passing by ...
