Bollywood diva, Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli never fail to give us relationship goals. The duo had tied the knot on December 11, 2017, in an intimate destination wedding. But even after so many years, we can't stop gushing over the couple's fairytale wedding pictures. Since then, Virushka (as Virat and Anushka are fondly called by their fans) have been living the best days of their lives together.
On January 11, 2021, the much-in-love couple, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were blessed with a baby girl, whom they have named, Vamika Sharma Kohli. It was on February 1, 2021, when Anushka Sharma had surprised everyone by posting the first-ever family picture with their then-newborn daughter on her IG handle. Introducing her daughter to the world, Anushka had announced her name and had written:
“We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss - emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full. Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy.”

Anushka Sharma is an avid social media user and often shares glimpses from her life with her fans. And after entering to parenthood phase, she has been seen enjoying every moment of her new journey with her hubby, Virat and their little one, Vamika. A few hours ago, the doting mommy took to her IG stories and shared a poem dedicated to her daughter, Vamika. The poem talks about the hardships a mother deals with, to become the best version for their child. And Anushka too makes a promise to Vamika through this poem, to be her strongest support. The poem can be read as:
"Dear Child, I spend so much time trying to figure out how to be the best mother to you. I know I won't always get it right. But what I can promise, Is that no matter what. I'll meet you where you are. Not where I want you to be. Not where I think you should be. Not where you will be. But right where you are, at this very moment."
Anushka and Virat have maintained tight security around their daughter, Vamika's face. Even though they had issued a statement dedicated to the paparazzi for keeping their daughter's privacy, on January 23, 2022, the broadcasters of the India Vs South Africa match in Cape Town had given a glimpse of Vamika. They had panned the camera to the stands where Anushka and their daughter were cheering for Virat, revealing the baby girl's face. The pictures and videos had gone viral, and Vamika’s cuteness had broken the internet. People had started comparing how she looks exactly like her father, Virat.

Reacting to Vamika's viral pictures and videos on the internet, on January 24, 2022, Anushka Sharma had shared a statement about the same on her IG stories. As Anushka and Virat have been asking everyone not to click their daughter, Vamika’s pictures and circulate them online, the mommy had talked about the same. Sharing that they were caught off guard as she had no clue that the camera was on them, and how she still wants people not to click Vamika, Anushka had written:
“Hi guys! We realise that our daughters images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didnt know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika's images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you!”
On January 12, 2022, Anushka Sharma had shared a picture from her daughter, Vamika's first birthday party, on her IG stories and had deleted them soon after. In the candid picture, the mommy-daughter duo had twinned in white outfits for the birthday bash. Anushka could be seen holding Vamika in her arms as they had shared an adorable moment with each other. The place could be seen decorated with balloons. While Anushka had deleted the picture immediately, her fan pages were quick to take a screenshot of the same. Sharing the picture, atop it, Anushka had written:
“My baby girl.”
