However, MMA Fighting confirmed the report through court documents, which stated that Smith was booked on July 27, 2026 (ET) during the night hours. He is currently being held at Sarpy County Jail.
Court records show Smith is charged with terroristic threats, first-degree false imprisonment, and domestic violence resulting in serious bodily injury. No further details about what led to the arrest have been released at this time.
In Nebraska, domestic violence that causes serious bodily injury is classified as a Class 2A felony, which carries a possible sentence of up to 20 years in prison. The charges of terroristic threats and first-degree false imprisonment are Class 3A felonies. Each of those carries a maximum of 3 years in prison, plus up to 18 months of post-release supervision and a fine of up to USD 10,000.
