Annu Kapoor Reacts To His Dudhiya Badan Remark For Tamannaah Bhatia, 'Angrezi Mein Bolo Toh Theek'

Veteran actor, Annu Kapoor received huge backlash when he passed a crass remark for Tamannaah Bhatia. However, the 70-year-old actor justified the statement by saying that he got trolled and received backlash as people took his comment the wrong way. He added that he wasn't saying it in an offensive way, but since he used the Hindi language, they felt it was a crass remark instead of taking it as a compliment.

For the unversed, the controversy involving Annu Kapoor erupted after he made a strange remark about Tamannaah Bhatia during Shubhankar Mishra's YouTube interview. He went on to call her look as dudhiya badan, which left many in disgust. The clip was widely circulated, wherein Annu Kapoor was heard saying:

"Mashallah kya dudhiya badan hai."

The clip drew significant backlash, and people found the words inappropriate coming from a 70-year-old veteran actor. Recently, in an interview with Siddhath Kannan, Annu Kapoor shared his side of the story and revealed that it all started after he was prepping for a show in America. His team informed that the song, Aaj Ki Raat, is a hard one to perform as the opening part doesn't work for a stage performance. When he saw the video, he loved the way Tamannaah was dancing. 

Annu Kapoor stated that he praised the actress, but people started bashing him and abusing him. He added that some people sided with him, saying that Tamannaah is often referred to as 'milky body'. Annu Kapoor further stated that since he said it in Hindi, it became an issue. He was quoted as saying:

"Visual dikhaya toh mai ne kaha dance bhi waah kitna mashallah kar rahi hai. Toh bas yahi hua uske baad logo ne mujhe gaali bhi di. Fir kuch logo ne kaha arey angreji mein milky body toh bol hi rahe ho tum. Angrezi mein bolo toh theek hai Hindi mein gadbad ho jata hai. Milky body bol deta toh theek tha."

However, despite defending his words, Annu Kapoor further expressed his apology if he had offended Tamannaah Bhatia. He stated that if his remark had caused the actress discomfort, he has no hesitation in acknowledging the fact that he said it, but if she felt bad about it. Then, he won't mind saying sorry and touching her feet. He added that if a man of his age had said this, it would be clear that he had no wrong intentions.

Annu Kapoor also asserted that if he is praising someone doesn't mean he has any ill intention. He was simply praising her body. He also revealed that Tamannaah is the same age as his children and clarified that he has had no bad agenda behind it. However, so far, Tamannaah Bhatia has not publicly responded to the whole controversy.

For the unversed, when Annu appeared on Shubhankar Mishra's YouTube channel, he talked about watching Tamannaah's famous song, Aaj Ki Raat. When the host asked Annu Kapoor if he liked the actress. He passed the 'dudhiya badan' remark. As the interaction continued, the host revealed that Tamannaah once mentioned that children fall asleep to her hit song. To this, Annu said:

"Kitne umar ke baache so jaate hain… 70 saal ke umar ka bhi bachcha ho sakta hai na, main hota toh puchta ke kitne umar ke so jaate hain. Angreezi mein bolte hain that he is 70 years old, woh 70 saal purana bacha hai… And he is 11 year old budha."
