Ankita Lokhande and her husband, Vicky Jain, are hands down the most talked about contestants on Bigg Boss 17. The show just had its family episode week, where every contestant's family members entered the house and increased the entertainment quotient by manifolds. While Ankita Lokhande’s mother, Vandana Pandis Lokhande, advised the couple to be nice to each other, Vicky's mom, Ranjana, blamed her bahu for ruining their family's reputation.
In the latest episode, Ankita Lokhande’s mother, Vandana Pandis Lokhande, entered the BB house and hugged her daughter with much love and warmth. During her conversation with Ankita and Vicky, she asked them to reconsider their limits and not badmouth one another. Moreover, Ankita's mom suggested her not to talk too much about her past, hinting at Sushant Singh Rajput. She said:
"Bahut saari chizein bahar achi nahi jaa rahi hai. Log bol rahe inka nahi chalega. Tum dono ko hi samihne ki zarurat hai. Aur jo tum baar baar past ki baate kar rahi ho, vo bhi acha nahi lag raha hai."

Responding to the same, Ankita said, "Woh Abhishek Ka idol hai toh woh puchte rehta hai isilye main bolti hoon." Later, her mom asked her if she ever thought how would Vicky's parents feel when they saw their daughter-in-law frequently speaking about her ex-boyfriend, Sushant, on national television. Vandana was heard saying:
"Vicky ki family ko kaisa lagta hoga?"
However, Ankita got teary-eyed as she heard the words coming out of her mother's mouth and asked her if Vicky's mother didn't know her. The actress even went on to question if her in-laws were not noticing Vicky's actions on the show, as they were blaming her only. Ankita further added:
"Mumma (Vicky's mom) nahi jante hai kya mujhe. Pura blame mujhpe hi aaraha hai. Woh khud ke bete ko nahi dekh rahe hai and mujhe bol hi bol rahe hai. Shayad vo mujhe sach mein nahi jante hai."

In an interview with Saas Bahu Aur Saajish, Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain accused her of trying to gain sympathy by using SSR’s name and stated that the latter did a lot of great work when he was alive. She said:
"Sympathy jata rahi hai aisa lagta hai Ankita apne liye. Sushant ko kya padha hai, vo to chala hi gaya hai bechara. Wo tha jabhi bator ke le gaya, kitne achchhe achchhe kaam kiye usne."
