Ankita Lokhande has made headlines ever since she took part in Bigg Boss 17 with her husband, Vicky Jain. Initially, Ankita was seen fighting with Vicky as she thought he wasn't giving her time. The married couple's fight had gone to a level wherein Vicky Jain was brutally trolled and called 'toxic' for not giving love to Ankita Lokhande. Not only this, but during the course of the show, Ankita also revealed the real reason for her break-up with Sushant Singh Rajput. Now, Ankita was seen again talking about Sushant Singh Rajput and the reason why she married Vicky Jain.
During the live telecast of the show, Ankita Lokhande was seen talking about Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress was in conversation with Samarth, and she was seen discussing embracing motherhood and wanting to have twins. The conversation then shifted to Ankita's past, and she revealed she was in true love, and was ready to become a bride, but her groom left her. She was quoted as saying:
"Mujhe sacha pyaar tha aur kafi saalo ka pyaar tha. Mai toh dulhan banne ke liye bhi taiyaar thi. Lekin mera dulha mujhko chor kar chala gaya."

Ankita further added that she thought Sushant was her groom, but he wasn't, and that's when Vicky entered her life and she married him. She revealed that Vicky was in her life when she was in a relationship with Sushant. Ankita further shared that Vicky used to like her, so, she married him. The actress added that she was ready for marriage, but it took her a bit of time to say 'yes' to Vicky.
Earlier, during one of the episodes, Ankita Lokhande addressed her painful breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput. She revealed it wasn't just her but her parents, who were shattered. In the episode, Ankita Lokhande was seen in a discussion with Munawar Faruqui, she revealed that she had been in a relationship with Sushant for several years. However, Sushant called it quits within a night. She had said:
"Uska jaana ek alag cheez thi. Main tut gyi, mere maa baap tut gye.."
Munawar further probed how Ankita was trolled after Sushant's death in 2020. Ankita revealed that she jumped into the matter as she wanted to let people know who the real Sushant was. Ankita further shared the real reason for the breakup and stated that it happened in a night, without informing her. Addressing the same, Ankita stated:
"Main kahi involved nahi thi, fir bhi main khadi hui because main chahti ki log jaane vo kaun tha. Log tab kaha the, jab mera breakup chal raha tha. Main vo phase akele gujazara. There was no reason for breakup. El raat mein cheeze change hui meri life mein. Mera concern tha ki mujhe batakar cheezein karta, to mujhe pata rehta. Uski aankhon mein dikhne lag gya ki koi cheez nahi hai.
